Reality Show Shocker: Son Listens To Mom In “More To Love” Finale

Last night, on the fatty reality dating show “More To Love,” biggie bachelor Luke decided he was going to propose to his special #1 lady. But first, “The Fatchelor” (that was actually the show’s working title) had to take his last two options, err, girlfriends, to meet his folks. While his adorable, religious, BBQing, laid-back father’s side of the family looked straight outta the “Beverly Hillbillies,” his mom was an independent, sophisticado à la Diane Keaton. “More To Love” Is About Female Insecurity, Not Body Size

I’m not going to lie. I was pretty excited about last night’s premiere episode of “More to Love.” At 6’1″, I’m a big girl no matter how much I weigh. And he’s not looking for a skinny bitch. He’s looking for a woman who’s “curvy.” Keep reading »

“More To Love” Actually Sweet, Not Horribly Exploitative

I assumed the worst about “More To Love,” the new reality dating show where Luke, a handsome 300-lb. bachelor, is looking for love from plus-sized beauties. How could a pop culture-weary feminist not expect the worst, really? First, it’s of a “reality” dating show, which pretty much guarantees it’s b.s. on Fox, a Keep reading »

Remote Control: What You’ll Want To Watch The Week Of July 27th 2009

This week is shaping up for awesomeness all around in TV land. Jillian will finally pick her dude on “The Bachelorette,” though we have a sneaking suspicion that it will be Reid rather than the two she’s kept around for the finale. Diddy returns to make a band—this time, his own. “More to Love” and “Holidate” will both premiere. NeNe’s braless ta-ta’s return to Bravo in “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” And Shark Week 2009, kicks into gear! Keep reading »
