I don’t mean to knock JACOB, because they are at least making steps to be part of the solution. Keep reading »

Oops, TV Station Accidentally Posts Pics Of Topless Teen “Top Model” Contestant

A New Zealand television station is in hot water after it posted unedited, topless photos of a teenaged “Top Model” contestant on its website — in error, they claim. “New Zealand’s Next Top Model” snapped photos of 16-year-old Michaela Steenkamp with mud on her boobies posing on some rocks, which were supposed to be posted on NZ’s TV3 website. You know, the classic muddy mermaid in a headwrap shot! But unedited pics “with her breasts clearly shown,” according to the New Zealand Herald News, greeted fans instead and people flipped out because of Michaela’s age. TV3 hastily replaced the pics with one of Michaela with both mud and steam covering her body (as seen above). Now the station is hastily releasing statements to assure everyone all the models had their nipples “taped” for the shoot, the photographers were women, and they had chaperones on set. That’s great but … frankly, it’s kind of a lifeless photo anyway. Shame it’s getting so much attention. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

Ann Taylor Caught Photoshopping Skinny Model Even Skinnier

Ann Taylor knows what sells clothes: thin. Yesterday afternoon, Jezebel noticed that an item on AnnTaylor.com was originally depicted by a skinny model in a tank top, but three seconds later, the page re-boots and the skinny model has magically dropped 20 lbs. around her midsection. Some might say the image was airbrushed beyond looking like a proportional human being. But what a bunch of whiners! Seriously, how could that fat cow sell a Chiffon Trim Tank looking that huge? Next you’re going to tell me something crazy like we should have models who are actually the size of the average American woman. [Jezebel.com and AnnTaylor.com] Keep reading »

Quotable: Brooklyn Decker’s Size 4 Body Often Considered “Too Big”

She also tells the mag that she gave up trying to maintain her weight through juice fasts and instead focuses on “eating right” and working out. Novel concept. [Just Jared] Keep reading »
