Crush Of The Day: Lady Gaga’s Tattooed Friend, Rick Genest

See that guy pictured with Lady Gaga in a still from her “Born This Way” video? That’s Rick Genest. And unlike Miss Gaga, whose face required two hours of make up to achieve the skeletal look, Mr. Genest’s face really looks like that. Because his face is tattooed that way. As in, permanently. That’s right, Mr. Skeletor over there has a perma-Halloween costume on, and he’s spent three years and $7,000 to make it happen. And I’m apparently not the only one who thinks he’s mega-hot. The Canadian model has been tapped by Thierry Mugler designer — and frequent Gaga collaborator — Nicola Formichetti, as his muse. Formichetti found Genest living on the streets in Montreal, where he was doing odd jobs to pay for his next tattoo, and now he’s walking in Mugler’s menswear shows. And for the record, just because he looks scary, doesn’t mean he isn’t a sweetheart. His mom says, “Within the family he is a very loving boy, he’s very respectful to us.” [Daily Mail] Keep reading »

Roshumba Gets Randy In This Dress

So what’s happening here, with model Roshumba’s dress at the premier of the new Tyler Perry film, “For Colored Girls”? It appears that her white gown is slipping to expose her underwear. Then again, she’s got a matching head piece, so perhaps she’s simply trying out some new butt-chic apparel. Either way, we’re pretty sure we could never pull this look off. [Dlisted] Keep reading »

Male Model Accused Of Offering Sex To Cops

It turns out that women aren’t the only ones who try to weasel their way out of a ticket. Nick Snider, who was Forbes’ 5th most successful male model in 2008, was arrested on Monday in Arkansas after drunkenly causing a domestic disturbance. Once in the patrol car (after he informed the arresting officers that he was “a very famous model”), Snider told one of the deputies, “If you stop I’ll suck your d**k and balls if you let me go.” As if this wasn’t bad enough, the Prada model continued to offer oral sex in exchange for his release to the booking jailer. Snider was charged with three misdemeanors, including attempting to illegally influence a public servant. Take it from the ladies, Nick: next time just start crying. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

Does This Animal Rights Ad Go Too Far?

In America, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are well known for their shock-tactic ads, but they’re not the only pro-animal rights organization willing to go overboard with advertising in order to bring attention to the cause. Wakker Dier, which means “Animal Awake,” is a Dutch organization that’s Europe’s PETA counterpart. For their campaign, they hired Dutch Playmate and fetish model Ancilla Tilia to play the part of a stripper who gets clubbed and stripped like an animal. Watch it, after the jump, but be forewarned it’s fairly graphic.

While PETA’s ads have a tendency to be more silly than shocking, this ad is a real eye-opener. But does the video get across the organization’s mission? Does watching a fetish model get “clubbed” and “stripped” make people more sensitive to animal rights? Or does the viral path this ad will take mean more people will be thinking about animal rights than they were yesterday? [ANIMAL via Copyranter] Keep reading »

Rich Bitches—The Highest Paid Super Models

So it’s apparently not enough for these long-limbed, strikingly tall, highlighted-to-perfection and, let’s not forget, genetically-blessed women to be just supermodels known the world ’round. Now, they gotta go and pull in boatloads of green, too. And, according to the Forbes “World’s Top-Earning Model’s” list there is one object of my faux-hate in particular who made $25 million dollars in the last 12 months. Months, people! Who is she? Shirtless Shrine: Robert Pattinson Poses As A Teen Model

Robert Pattinson is a total babe, even when he was one. Star magazine managed to get their grubby little hands on Pattinson’s first pictorial as a model and it proves he was a hot child in the city, runnin’ wild and and looking pretty! Although, even as a grown up stanky man beast, I still want to tap that “Twilight” ass. But for now, I’d just like to personally thank whoever was responsible for taking a picture of him in nothing but boxers. Talk about a spread! [Towleroad]

The 20-year-old, Toronto-born model, who once famously Irish stepdanced down Jean Paul Gaultier’s runway, offers a peek behind the scenes at days in the life of a fashion plate. She hopes a woman on the street who takes her photograph, sans makeup, has Photoshop, posts a video of herself dancing around while brushing her teeth, and reveals that Vogue had the exclusive rights to her new red hair, so she had to keep it under wraps until the January issue hit the newsstands.
