Pageant Organization Paid For Miss California’s Boobs

Everyone’s still talking about Miss California’s gay marriage comments. Now there’s more drama for 21-year-old beauty queen Carrie Prejean. Apparently, there were some nice perks for her as former Miss California. The state’s pageant organization paid her bill for fake boobs.

Prejean received breast implants paid for by the Miss California Organization just weeks before she competed in the Miss USA pageant, confirmed Shanna Moakler, co-executive director of organization. Shanna told “Access Hollywood” that Carrie wanted breasts implants and the Miss California Organization “supported that decision.” Shanna, herself a former Miss USA and an ex-Playboy Playmate, added, “Breast implants in pageants is not a rarity. It’s definitely not taboo. It’s very common. Breast implants today among young women today is very common.” Keep reading »

Carrie Prejean Thinks People Choose To Be Gay

The now infamous Miss California, Carrie Prejean, is still on the defensive after last weekend’s Miss USA pageant, in which she said marriage should be between a man and a woman and not the gays. This weekend she sat down with a gay blogger (not Perez Hilton!) to discuss her feelings on the subject in more depth. Rex Wockner got to the heart of the matter pretty quick.

Rex: I understand that you were raised to believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, and I understand that you grew up knowing that you were always going to marry a guy, but you’re heterosexual. Um, some people are born gay, maybe, you think?
Carrie: No, I don’t think so … I think it’s a behavior that develops over time.
Rex: Why would someone choose it, given that if you choose that, you get discriminated against?
Carrie: I’m not sure what the motivation would be.

Better think of one fast Carrie, because that hole you’re digging just keeps getting deeper! [Wockner via Jezebel] Keep reading »

Former Miss California Speaks Out On Gay Marriage

“The truth is that it is difficult to know for sure the intentions of the biblical authors, but we do know something about God. Those of us who know God through Jesus of Nazareth know that he went to great lengths to express God’s love to people who were labeled as outcasts. He spent time with children, prostitutes, and lepers, all of whom were labeled as outside of the grasp of the Holy. As we continue to seek God’s vision for us as a nation grounded in a love for justice, I pray that we might move closer to the cause of grace.”

So says Nicole Lamarche, who was Miss California in 2003 and is now an ordained minister at Cotuit Federated Church in Cotuit, Massachussettes. Lamarche spoke out on the issue of gay marriage after the current Miss California, Carrie Prejean, said she did not support gay marriage at Sunday’s Miss USA pageant, citing her religious beliefs. Perez Hilton & Miss California Face Off

Perez Hilton and Miss California, Carrie Prejean, were on “The Today Show” this morning, talking about the controversy surrounding the beauty queen’s response to Hilton’s gay marriage question at Sunday’s Miss USA Pageant. On the show, Hilton was extremely well-spoken and made the argument that Miss California alienated many Americans with her anti-gay marriage response. Because Miss USA is supposed to represent all Americans, it cost her the crown. I’m not sure that I look to a beauty queen to represent me or my views to the world, but I get his point. When it was Prejean’s turn to speak, she said she spoke from her heart, and she stands by what she says, as it reflects her religious beliefs. I can kind of respect the woman for answering honestly, even though I personally disagree. But what about the fact that her response was poorly delivered? I mean, “opposite marriage”? As Hilton said, Miss California should have been better prepared for that question and had a coherent, if unpopular, answer ready to go. Keep reading »

Soap Star Takes Us Back To The Future

Brenda Dickson was a soap star who played villainess Jill Abbott on The Young and the Restless from the 70’s through the 80’s. On screen, she stole the heart of a rich married man and then slept with her stepson, but she’s put more daytime drama into her Welcome to My Home video where she’s just “playing herself.” In the short video, the former Miss California, who is credited as writer, director, and exec producer, said she was motivated to make the piece by her fans who have written her and asked, “How do you look better today than you did 11 and a half years ago?” And girlfriend looks craaaaaazy good for 1987! Her closet is covered in beading, she has a jumbo portrait of herself over her sofa, an entire rack of red high heel boots, and every outfit shows off her cleavage. The queen B is an inspiration…for drag impersonators, Beyonce, hookers, and gals like us. Sure, when Ms. Dickson describes her accessories as “diamonds”, she means rhinestones, but there are some real gems! Our favorite is when she says, “Leather is always great, I wear a lot of it.” And how! Just see for yourself… [You Tube]
