I’m only a tiny bit obsessed with Miranda Kerr and her seemingly endless supply of the Best Clothes Ever. Can we all agree that this is the consummate summer dress? Flowery and fluttery and interesting enough to warrant minimal accessorizing — every girl should have one of these in her wardrobe … but maybe Miranda could just let me borrow hers. This week saw celebs pretending to care about sports at the ESPY Awards, morning and late show stops by Anne Hathaway and Freida Pinto, supermodels and British actresses running errands, and Lady Gaga impersonating Cher from 1985. Let’s take a look at the best and worst celeb looks of the week!
We’ve stolen Miranda’s style on countless occasions, so it’s high time we start taking notes on the components that comprise her best looks and go from there. When the model mom is photoshoot-ready, she definitely looks the part, but on her off days she has the most uncanny way of dressing just like your super-stylish, willowy-limbed best friend. I theorize that the secret to Miranda’s sartorial success is all about jeans, jeans, jeans and, believe it or not, a very specific formula of sorts. Skinny denim and a loose top are often the most prominent ingredients in her style recipe — fitted, ankle-cut jeans create a streamlined silhouette, while a looser top plays with proportions to make you look long and lean. Many of Miranda’s most covetable outfits come directly from this mold, and additions like a cardigan, chic jacket, and flats, sandals, or booties enable this basic equation to go the extra mile. After the jump, tips and tricks for making the look work, and a peek at looks inspired by (but not copied from!) Miranda’s model style. Keep reading »
Miranda Kerr looks good pretty much wherever and whatever she’s doing. So it should be no surprise that the model/spokesperson even makes travel look good. Here she is, at the Los Angeles International Airport looking totally runway-ready. But we’re not mad — no — because we’re totally going to steal her style. Click through to get her look.

Miranda Kerr’s devotion to casual classic looks with a contemporary twist has earned her a bonafide spot as one of my primary sartorial inspirations, and while I’m sure the Victoria’s Secret mainstay (and she of the picture-perfect life) has a sharp-eyed stylist laying out her clothes and quite possibly putting them on for her while she’s fed grapes by hand, she never looks, well, styled. Miranda has assimilated seamlessly to the streamlined Manhattan aesthetic, so much so that I could feasibly be fooled into thinking that the native Australian was born and raised in my fair city. Bottom line, when doesn’t she look Style Stealable? Also, having a cute dog on your arm never hurts. Keep reading »
Miranda Kerr leads a pretty charmed life, what with being a Victoria’s Secret model with a killer body who also happens to be married to Orlando Bloom and all. I have to give the girl some credit, though, for putting together a consistently cool style repertoire. When she’s not all decked out at events — or, on the flip side, not dressed at all for her VS work — Miranda is out and about in casual, breezy looks that I can’t help but covet. In fact, I would even go so far as to compare her natural command of separates to that of my (and everyone else’s) ultimate style icon, one Kate Moss. A bold statement, yes, but Miranda never disappoints. Case in point: this look that Miranda wore out in NYC yesterday is simple but not boring and urban chic without losing its elegance. I couldn’t tell you why, but I have a sinister obsession with the Victoria’s Secret Angels. Yes, they’re wonderfully pretty, and have insane bodies, and all that stuff, but I find myself kind of intrigued by whether or not they’re real people. Are they aliens? Tall, lithe, bronzed to perfection, fast-metabolizing aliens with silky long hair and bedroom eyes? There’s something innately bizarre about all of them, especially their questionable grips on reality. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley recently expressed her opinion that it’s worth it for every woman to “put away a dollar a week” to save up for $700+ Christian Louboutin heels, a process that would take 14 years. Really logical, Rosie.
But the Angel that both fascinates and baffles me the most is Miranda Kerr. Keep reading »
Remember how Miranda Kerr and her hot-as-hell baby daddy Orlando Bloom popped out a baby muffin, like, a mere 10 months ago? Well, now she had to go and show off her ridiculous (RIDICULOUS!) post-baby stomach in a series of “DIY” ads for Rag & Bone, shot by Bloom. The concept of a “DIY ad” is really too much for my poor brain to handle, but suffice it to say, Kerr looks like her body is literally allergic to babies. Like she outsourced the baby carrying to some other poor fool. It’s not fair that people can be this attractive, really.
