Miranda Kerr leads a pretty charmed life, what with being a Victoria’s Secret model with a killer body who also happens to be married to Orlando Bloom and all. I have to give the girl some credit, though, for putting together a consistently cool style repertoire. When she’s not all decked out at events — or, on the flip side, not dressed at all for her VS work — Miranda is out and about in casual, breezy looks that I can’t help but covet. In fact, I would even go so far as to compare her natural command of separates to that of my (and everyone else’s) ultimate style icon, one Kate Moss. A bold statement, yes, but Miranda never disappoints. Case in point: this look that Miranda wore out in NYC yesterday is simple but not boring and urban chic without losing its elegance. Find out how to steal the model’s effortless style, after the jump! [photo via Just Jared] Keep reading »

I couldn’t tell you why, but I have a sinister obsession with the Victoria’s Secret Angels. Yes, they’re wonderfully pretty, and have insane bodies, and all that stuff, but I find myself kind of intrigued by whether or not they’re real people. Are they aliens? Tall, lithe, bronzed to perfection, fast-metabolizing aliens with silky long hair and bedroom eyes? There’s something innately bizarre about all of them, especially their questionable grips on reality. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley recently expressed her opinion that it’s worth it for every woman to “put away a dollar a week” to save up for $700+ Christian Louboutin heels, a process that would take 14 years. Really logical, Rosie.

But the Angel that both fascinates and baffles me the most is Miranda Kerr. Keep reading »

Miranda Kerr’s Stomach Makes Us Sad

Remember how Miranda Kerr and her hot-as-hell baby daddy Orlando Bloom popped out a baby muffin, like, a mere 10 months ago? Well, now she had to go and show off her ridiculous (RIDICULOUS!) post-baby stomach in a series of “DIY” ads for Rag & Bone, shot by Bloom. The concept of a “DIY ad” is really too much for my poor brain to handle, but suffice it to say, Kerr looks like her body is literally allergic to babies. Like she outsourced the baby carrying to some other poor fool. It’s not fair that people can be this attractive, really.

Miranda Kerr Should Keep Labor Horror To Herself

Labor already has a terrible reputation, so when Miranda Kerr said her natural, drug-free birth was so painful, she thought she was going to die, most people probably were not terribly surprised. And while I am sure it was intense (because duh), it does not do women any good to hear all the time how awful labor is.

It is not just to spare pregnant women, either. Our culture as a whole seems to have this idea that labor has to be terrible. We all have to curse and yell and scream and cry and eventually, even those of us who prepared for and planned a drug-free birth, will beg for the epidural.

It is simply not true. Now, I am well aware that I had textbook simple pregnancies and extremely easy labors, which makes me unable to comment on medical intervention. Certainly, when it is needed, it is wonderful. The point is, it is not always needed. And labor is not always a screaming mess of pain. Read more… Keep reading »

Miranda Kerr: “I Intend To Breastfeed For As Long As I Can”

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom welcomed son Flynn on January 6 and in addition to being in awe of her “beautiful little soul” the new mom is cherishing the experience of breastfeeding her newborn son.

“I intend to breastfeed for as long as I can,” she said. “My breast milk will give our little Flynn the nutrition he needs for his continued healthy development and to all mums out there I am sure you will make the right choice for you and your baby.” Read more… Keep reading »

Miranda Kerr Gets Goopy

Miranda Kerr is turning all new agey, à la Gwyneth Paltrow. She’s created a new skin care line because she “wasn’t able to find an organic skincare line that [she] was 100 percent happy with or that contained all the ingredients that [she] wanted and knew were beneficial to the skin.” Kora, her organic skincare line, is about “nurturing your core,” she explains. Subtle subtext: I’m perfect, clever, beautiful, and pregnant. What really makes Kora magical, though, according to Kerr, is that “all of the water used in [Kora] mists have been infused with rose quartz crystals, and we’ve done that so that the vibration of love associated with rose quartz really flows through each product.” Aha! Love vibrations! That’s what my skin has been missing. [Celebitchy] Keep reading »
