Friday night, Miley Cyrus kicked off her Bangerz world tour in Vancouver, Canada, and, as you might expect, the whole shebang was a weird and wacky spectacle. Say what you want about Miley, but girl is all about having fun and she certainly achieved that goal from top to bottom. Click through to see just some of the hijinks, including Miley miming oral sex on a guy wearing a Bill Clinton mask! Hey, she said her show was going to be educational.
Miley Cyrus is on the cover of the new issue of W magazine, looking rather unrecognizable — Donatella Versace-esque, I think — thanks to bleached eyebrows and longer hair. Inside the mag, Miley flashes a nipple and expounds on both the usual topics (weed, dating) and some new ones (her feelings about kids, for example) in an interview with dreamy Ronan Farrow (ugh, jealous) . Check that nip and some choice quotes, after the jump! Keep reading »
I have lots of problems with Miley Cyrus, namely her at-times idiotic behavior, but I find her music fun and enjoy her voice, especially when it’s been stripped down. I loved her pre-Bangerz, “Backyard Sessions” phase, when she covered songs like “Jolene,” her voice rich and clear as a bell. Last night, “Unplugged: Miley Cyrus” aired on MTV and featured a somewhat in-between version of Miley — both the country girl and the hip-hop-loving goofball. Clad in a gingham onesie, with a plush horse mascot by her side, Miley sang countrified versions of songs like “Do My Thang,” “Wrecking Ball,” and “Rooting For My Baby.” She was also joined on stage by none other than Madonna, and the two duetted on a mashup of Madge’s “Don’t Tell Me” and Miley’s “We Can’t Stop.” Obviously, there was still some twerking involved. If you can put aside their collective asshole-ish-ness, it’s actually pretty fun. Watch their duet above and a few other clips after the jump! [MTV] Keep reading »
