Dsquared2 Fashion Show Showcases “Starlet Trash” Look In Milan

WWD revealed on Friday that Dsquared2 has created the wardrobe for Britney Spears’ Circus tour, which kicks off tomorrow in New Orleans. The label, which is designed by Canadian brothers Dan and Dean Caten, has been associated with tabloid queens before (Jessica Simpson, Fergie, Rihanna), and their Fall 2009 collection seems to reflect the starlets that wear their designs. The clothes hold a strong resemblance to what Mary-Kate Olsen might wear on a trip to pick up a tall sugar-free vanilla non-fat extra-ice blended latte at Starbucks: plaid shirts, lots of layers, ripped shorts, loads of bracelets, a huge bag, and big sunglasses. Bruno Storms Milan Fashion Week

As much as we love fashion, we also think it’s kind of ridiculous how seriously some people take a bunch of clothes and shoes. That’s why we love Bruno more. Bruno is one of Sacha Baron Cohen’s most famous characters, after Ali G and Borat, of course. The actor/comedian is in the midst of filming the “Bruno” feature length movie and made a, uh, rather memorable appearance at the Prada show at Milan’s Fashion Week. Fierce. (Okay, officially retiring that word now.)
