Michelle Williams was spotted leaving her dermatologist’s office this morning, wearing a charmingly mixed and match ensemble, featuring a shirt with tiny hearts and printed shorts. We’re digging her not-so-matchy-matchy girly style. This looks like an outfit her daughter Matilda might have even picked out — and the heart shirt? Well, we’ve found the exact one she’s wearing. Steal her style after the jump! Keep reading »
Be still my throbbing ovaries. Jason Segel took girlfriend Michelle Williams’ daughter Matilda (with her late ex Heath Ledger) out with him on a food run in Brooklyn. Michelle and Jason must be pretty serious — she was in San Diego this weekend for Comic-Con and it appears Jason took on the task of taking care of Matilda while she was gone. [Photo: INFDaily]
This is what Michelle Williams wore to a special New York screening of “Take This Waltz.” I can’t really decide how I feel about it — on the one hand, I like the fact that she’s wearing something that seems a bit outside of her regular comfort zone. it’s less straight up feminine and more overtly sexy than a lot of the girly frocks she typically goes for. But then, I think the lace-up corset effect on the top looks a little cheesy. And I can’t co-sign on the white shoes (why not black?). What do you think?
“You deserve more than just somebody who’s nice to you. I think that so often these days, niceness seems like it should be enough because it seems like such a rare quality but when you get inside of it, you think, ‘Hmmm … I can be pretty nice to myself.’ What about these other things? Life is too short and too crappy to not try to get more of what you want.”
– Michelle Williams speaks to Flare about relationships and that everyone deserves more from a partner than just basic kindness. Williams is promoting her fantastic new indie film, “Take This Waltz,” directed by Sarah Polley, which I saw this weekend and haven’t stopped thinking about. Read more about it and see the trailer, after the jump! Keep reading »
“I said it would make me too sad to answer but it’s also … one of my favorite things to imagine. It’s actually one of my favorite places to visit.”
– Michelle Williams‘ response to the question, “Do you think there was a part of you that imagined the two of you [Michelle and Heath Ledger] would somehow end up together?” in an interview with GQ. The profile of the “My Week With Marilyn” actress is extremely raw and beautifully written, filled with plenty of tears. Of her whirlwind romance with late actor on the set of “Brokeback Mountain,” Williams says, “It’s a bit like: We had a lot of things to do, because we didn’t have a lot of time, or something.” Of those things to do? Having daughter Matilda, now six, who Williams thanked sweetly and profusely in her Golden Globes’ acceptance speech, saying Matilda’s “bravery and exuberance is the example that I take with me in my work and in my life.” Keep reading »

This weekend, the 23rd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala was held, honoring actors like Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Michelle Williams, Jessica Chastain, Octavia Spencer, and Glenn Close. But were their outfits as laudable? Let’s find out!
Starring Michelle Williams, Eddie Redmayne, Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench and Emma Watson
You might think “My Week With Marilyn” would be a lighthearted film about one of the most famous women in the modern history of the world. After all, it’s about a romance between Monroe and a set gopher while she filmed “The Prince and the Showgirl,” a comedy. But I walked out of the theater with just the opposite — a heavy heart. (And the steadfast belief that Michelle Williams, who plays Marilyn Monroe, should be nominated for an Oscar.) Keep reading »
“I’ve really grown into it — I feel like myself with short hair. … Of course, the only people who like it are gay men and my girlfriends. Straight men across the board are not into this hair! … [But] I cut it for the one straight man who has ever liked short hair and I wear it in memorial of somebody who really loved it.”
– Michelle Williams tells British Elle that while her daughter (and men) would prefer her with long hair, she has no plans to grow out her pixie crop, which she wears in tribute to her ex, the late Heath Ledger. I think this is beautiful and now I’m kind of teary. Sigh. [Telegraph UK] Keep reading »
I’m getting more and more excited for “My Week With Marilyn” and this new poster isn’t helping. The look on Michelle Williams’ face is pure Norma Jean perfection.
