And the sun was going down—we were actually stealing that shot, because we didn’t have a permit to shoot on the Brooklyn Bridge, and if we didn’t get it that night, we weren’t going to get it. And so the sun was going down, and she wasn’t telling me. So the only thing I could think of doing was to climb over (the fence on the side of) the bridge. And I never thought she’d let me get that far. I got to the other side. I just looked underneath me, and it was just—water. And it was so high, and I thought, ‘Michelle Williams is trying to kill me.’”

Good lord, I love Michelle Williams and this interview with her on “Nightline” is pretty amazing. She talks about making “Brokeback Mountain,” falling in love with Heath Ledger, and coping with his death. “In a strange way I miss that year [after his death],” she says. “It didn’t seem unlikely to me that he could walk through a door, or could appear behind a bush. In some ways, I am just, I am sad to be moving further and further away from it.”

“Blue Valentine” Gets NC-17 Rating Overturned
We’ve been gearing up for the Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams movie, “Blue Valentine,” for ages now. And so we weren’t happy when the movie was given an NC-17 rating due to an implied oral sex scene. What this means, in the grand scheme of things, is that the Motion Pictures Association of America (MPAA) hates female sexual pleasure. And indie filmmakers. And indie actors.
But luckily, they just overturned their decision, which means I take back those mean things I just said about them. But I’m still skeptical of their intentions. Keep reading »
