Beyoncé does not want to be friends with Kim Kardashian, so Kim went and got herself a pet kitten. I see what you did there! Fortunately, it’s a cute kitten — as cute as Choupette, even, and coming from me, that’s saying something.
But I don’t believe that Mercy, the Teacup Persian she named after one of Kanye’s songs, is anything other than an adorable publicity stunt. Just look at the way she’s carrying Mercy around everywhere in her arms. That’s what giant purses are for, Kimmy.
A little over a week after Madonna won custody of four-year-old Mercy James, a nanny was sent to Malawi via private jet to pick her up. The two arrived in London’s Heathrow airport on Saturday where Mercy was immediately whisked away to meet her new mother and siblings, Lourdes, 12, Rocco, 8, and David, 3, at a local Kabbalah center for a meeting. I realize the tot got to fly first class, but even so, a flight from Malawi to London is no small deal for a kid — you’d think she could at least get a bath and nap first before hitting the prayer beads. The family — including Guy Ritchie, who is taking sons, Rocco and David, to his place for a bit while Mercy settles in — spent an hour at the center before heading back to Madonna’s London home (wonder when/if they’ll be heading to New York?).
On last night’s So You Think You Can Dance, contemporary choreographer Mia Michael’s composed a dance for contestants Twitch and Katie that went along with one of our favorite songs of the summer — Duffy’s “Mercy”. The storyline for the dance was awesome — a clingy desperate woman trying to cling to her man. I loved the use of the doorway as a prop. Check out the clip above! Keep reading »
