Some on-air talent have objected that some websites will Photoshop the skirts and make it seem like the women were wearing something more like a belt than a skirt. Don’t believe it unless you’ve seen it live.”

— This is Megyn Kelly of Fox News in Marie Claire responding to the question “Would you agree that Fox has cultivated a reputation as a stomping ground for news babes? YouTube is filled with videos of Fox anchors wearing really short skirts.” Obviously, she is not going to bite the hand that feeds her and criticize Fox News for putting an army of pretty blondes like herself on air. And no one agrees more strongly than me that writing off something a woman says just because she is attractive is sexist BS. However! Let’s get real here. This Photoshop story is quite rich, not to mention she totally dodged the question. I have no doubt in my mind that you can find all sorts of NC-17 pictures of the ladies of Fox News which have been Photoshopped by the 16-year-old boys of America. “Don’t believe it unless you’ve seen it live” is the most creative answer ever, though. Megyn Kelly Defends Maternity Leave In Unlikely Feminist Fox News Moment

Something, dare I say, feminist happened over at Fox News yesterday! Anchorwoman Megyn Kelly schooled her guest, jerkface/conservative talk radio host Mike Gallagher, for calling her three months’ maternity leave a “racket” on his radio show. You know, maternity leave — that time a woman takes off work to recuperate after an 8 lb. human being passes through a vagina. Yeah, what a racket that is. At least Megyn Kelly is able to have a sense of humor about with this goon, who is very, very worried that the status quo privileges he enjoys as a white dude are being infringed upon. If a man asked me, seemingly in earnest, “Do men get maternity leave?” — and that’s a direct quote — my jaw would hit the floor. I am not usually a fan of Fox News or Ms. Kelly, but I have to give her a sisterly tip of the hat on this one. (However, the Family and Medical Leave Act guarantees up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave, so it’s not exactly something America should be proud of. Megyn Kelly, WTF are you thinking? Regarding a tragic news story in which a NYC man punched and put a woman into a coma over a disputed parking space, the Fox News correspondent posted the tweet above this afternoon.

Maybe she deserved it? Maybe violence against women is OK? Maybe violence against strangers on the street is OK? Maybe putting someone in a friggin’ coma is OK? Let’s all pray to God this was the ill-conceived tweet of a stupid Fox News intern, not grown-ass Megyn Kelly who should know better than to speculate someone “deserves” to be beaten into a coma.
