12 Celebrity Reverse May/December Romances

Perhaps it’s my loyalty to Princess Buttercup (from “The Princess Bride”), but I shook my fists and cried “inconceivable!” every time there were rumors that Sean Penn was running around on Robin Wright, his wife of 13 years. When the two finally split in 2010, Penn took up with a string of models, finally dating much younger Scarlett Johansson for a bit. Ugh, how typical, I thought. So it pleases me greatly to see Robin, 45, finally get some love of her own — and from a youthful source as well! She’s apparently dating her “Rampart” co-star Ben Foster — an ex of Kirsten Dunst — who is 14 years younger at 31. [Just Jared]

Since the term cougar has gotten super old, we rounded up 11 other celebrity reverse May/December romances, where women like their men young, or in some cases, downright adolescent.

How’s Married Life For 16-Year-Old Courtney Stodden And Her 51-Year-Old Hubby?

“This couple really has to deal with the ‘ick’ factor.” Yikes. We should all be so lucky to have “Good Morning America” introduce a segment on our marriage this way. “GMA” checked in with 16-year-old Courtney Alexis Stodden, an aspiring pop star, and her 51-year-old husband, Doug Hutchinson, an actor. The segment danced around some of the very real potential psychological issues that it could have raised about a union such as this. Sure it’s legal, but is a 35-year age difference (even if she’s an “old soul”) sexually predatory? Has Courtney Stodden been “groomed” for sexual relationships with older men, despite being a virgin on her wedding night? I’m assuming the show had to skirt around any suggestion of that in order to lock down the interview.

They certainly seem happy together, but I can’t help but think something seems … off … especially the woozy look in Courtney’s eyes about halfway through the video when she’s staring at her husband. Judge for yourself. [Mediaite] Keep reading »

Quickies: Is Tiger Woods Dating A 22-Year-Old?

  • Tiger Woods is reportedly dating a 22-year-old blonde named Alyse Lahti Johnston. She’s the daughter of St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jeff Lahti and step-daughter of a big whig at IMG, the agency that represents the horny golfer. Alyse Johnston was busted for a DUI last year, but when she’s not posing for mug shots, she likes to hang out with Tiger on his yacht and attends Northwood University in West Palm Beach, Florida. For half the year, Alyse’s family lives in Windermere, the same exclusive community where Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren once lived. Good luck with that, kids! [Daily Mail UK, RadarOnline]
  • Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn: definitely schtupping. Someone want to explain this to me? I don’t get it. [X17online.com]
  • Natalie Portman has joined the “lady celebs with hacked email accounts and leaked photos” club. [The Superficial]
  • The cover for Mindy Kaling’s book, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns), out in November, is adorbs. [NYmag.com]

11 Reasons Why Dating An Older Man Is Awesome

My new tall, dark and handsome boyfriend was standing across the room looking so fine in his shirt; I couldn’t take my eyes off him. It was my pal’s birthday party and the first time I had ever dragged my latest man-friend out with my buddies. I wasn’t sure how it would go, yet there he was, charming the pants off them all by himself, busting out his A-material small talk with some friends in a corner. He was doing his best to impress. It was very sexy. He was going all out for me.

Meanwhile, I was at the snack table and before I could curse myself for leaving him to go in for another cheesy cracker, I was accosted by a buddy’s wife I barely knew, a bitch named Sue. “How old is he?” she pried. Keep reading »

First Time For Everything: A May-December Romance

We met when I delivered his mail, a task performed by all the interns. But I liked to think I was different: I was an eager little NYU journalism student, desperate for attention, and I chatted with all the editors as I passed their cubicles. Many magazine editors on the top of the masthead are a bit standoffish and see interns, especially ones who want to talk while they’re busy, as an annoyance. But the Older Man was actually inquisitive and kind; we’d chitchat a little bit, a welcome reprieve from the other editors who could be cold and snappish. Keep reading »
