Some things witnessed secondhand are so cringeworthy as to incite actual physical pain, and this 53-second clip of Marion Cotillard‘s PR girl snubbing a soft-spoken reporter is of that very ilk. Bryna Rifkin of ID-PR, the publicist and red carpet handler for Cotillard as well as other well-liked celebs like Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jennifer Lawrence, was caught on camera belittling a journalist at the Toronto Film Festival. The clip shows the reporter in question informing Rifkin that she had been given permission to ask Cotillard a few questions about her new movie “Blood Ties,” before Rifkin informs the reporter that she was never given permission to do so, and oh, by the way, she’s in control, and she says no. Good lord, that smug smirk, those angry faces — this certainly isn’t the first time Rifkin’s played this card, and she looks more than happy to do so. Who would have thought the woman responsible for so many seemingly affable celebrities could “Mean Girl” with the best of them? [Page Six]

Marion Cotillard as Lady Macbeth? I never knew I wanted it until it happened.
The actress is replacing Natalie Portman, who was originally going to play the scheming Queen. There’s no word on why Portman’s no longer involved, but I don’t even care, because Marion Cotillard! She’s brilliant at scheming and crazy! It’s perfect. She’ll be acting alongside Michael Fassbender, who’s been attached to play Macbeth from the beginning. No other actors have been cast yet, but we do know the film is being directed by relative newcomer Justin Kurzel and produced by the team behind “The King’s Speech” and “Shame.” Read more at The Mary Sue…
Why not leave the heavy makeup at home this Memorial Day and opt for something a touch softer instead, like Marion Cotillard’s romantic, slightly smoky-eyed look from Cannes? It’s simple, fresh, and easily recreated with just a few products that you probably already have stashed in your makeup bag… Keep reading »
David Bowie gets what David Bowie wants, and if that means having Marion Cotillard and Gary Oldman star in his latest music video, then by God, that’s what’s going to happen. The Thin White Duke is at it again with this impressive video for the titular track from The Next Day, which you probably shouldn’t watch at work. There’s a couple of boobs in there. Also, Marion as church whore is my new style muse. [Vulture]
Marion Cotillard is so, so pretty. And that’s why she can pull off this difficult-to-wear blunt cut bob and still look completely amazing. Here she is at the Japanese premiere of her most recent flick, “Rust and Bone,” in Dior, and she’s all, “Oh yes, it’s just me, looking toward the light, coyly smiling and whatnot.” [Photo: Getty Images]
I am a happy spectator of any and all awards shows for what is likely the same reason that most people are: I love nothing more than to turn on my TV, eat a ton of bread, and watch the most beautiful people in the world prance around in designer dresses and the kind of makeup I could only dream of applying. Be still my heart! There were quite a few beauty highlights from the Screen Actors Guild Awards this weekend: here’s just a few, and how to get them…
It’s awards season, errbody (said in J-Kwon voice), and we’re stoked to see the biggest names in the business all decked out for the Golden Globes. The third most-watched awards show brings out some of our favorite actresses, like Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, and Claire Danes (all shown at last year’s awards), and we can’t wait to see what they’re wearing. So much so, in fact, that we decided to go ahead and place some bets on who we think will be wearing who on tonight’s red carpet…
French beauty Marion Cotillard made her way through LAX wearing an eye-catching pair of bird print pants earlier this week. Combined with a graphic print sweater, it’s certainly a lot of look, but I’m totally loving it. I know a lot of you are over the novelty print trend, so let’s put it to a vote, shall we?
I’ve finally pinpointed the root of my weird obsession with Marion Cotillard: she is the real live version of the naturally lovely, ever-nonchalant, I-want-to-be-her French girl that I previously thought to exist only in my imagination. But here she is! While promoting her new movie “Rust and Bone” at the London Film Festival over the weekend, Marion went low-key with naturally wavy hair, rosy lips, and the prettiest sooty smoky eye we’ve ever seen.
