We already know that Maria Sharapova is a hardcore philanthropist and kickass tennis player who has scored some of the biggest endorsement deals around, but her equally formidable sweet tooth managed to fly under the radar … until now. The Olympic silver medalist and four-time Grand Slam winner (and she’s only 25!) launched her premium candy line, Sugarpova, at Henri Bendel yesterday, and at risk of sounding tooth-achingly trite, Sharapova looked pretty damn sweet herself. A metallic dark brown liner smudged between the lashes and a sheer, shimmery mushroom taupe shadow on the lids enhances her almond-shaped eyes without the “too much” factor when paired with a pretty coral lipstick. French Tennis Player Says Men Deserve To Be Paid More Than Women
- French tennis player Gilles Simon recently said male players should be paid more than females at Grand Slam tennis events. When there was pushback against his remarks, he only dug the hole deeper, saying, “My point was that I have the feeling that men’s tennis is actually more interesting than women’s tennis. As in any business or anything, you just have to be paid just about that. It’s not because we play five sets and they are playing three.” Not surprisingly, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova both vehemently disagree. What do you think about his remarks? Maria Sharapova Unleashes Her Inner Water Baby
In order to keep the momentum going from their roller baby video, Evian selected six individuals, including Maria Sharapova, to pose in T-shirts with baby bodies emblazoned on the front. To be honest, I’m a little creeped out by this image of the tennis star. She’s wearing a baby body as a T-shirt! How is that not weird? And who thought this was a good idea? While the shirt is totally odd, and surely not an item most people would ever wear, Evian’s motivation is something I can get behind. According to the H2O brand, youth is a mindset and lifestyle, so their Live Young campaign embraces the inner child in everyone. I’m a huge fan of water and the idea of staying young, but I just wish Evian took a second to realize no one wants to walk around with a huge picture of a baby’s body on their shirt.
