Questionable Guy Trend: The Man Skirt

While we’re still not sure how we feel about men in tights, couture designers like John Galliano, Comme des Garçons, and Etro are putting men in skirts and sending them down the runway. And we’re not talking tribal Scottish kilts here either — a woman could easily wear these duds for dudes. The designer taste makers claim the look of a skirt for men has been catching on all over Europe this past season and now they have been showing off the menswear trend during the Spring/Summer 2009 Fashion Week in New York.

Headbands are an accessory often overlooked by grown woman. For sure, certain styles make their wearer look a little innocent, which isn’t always a bad thing. We’re so glad leggings are in style! They put on a leg show and cover cellulite. But now that they’ve made a comeback, so has the dreaded camel toe. Honestly, people, come on! When you’re wearing spandex bottoms, you have to add a long top or a short dress that will hide your stuff, so even the FBI would have do get permission to do an investigation. But apparently, Victoria Beckham isn’t aware of the laws of her land or Fannypack’s instructional dance hit from a few years ago. She was just spotted sporting a frontal split in leather leggings, flying in the face of fashion, and decency, by pairing them with a cropped jacket. Why Posh, why?! Although Vicky Becky is the new Marc Jacobs icon, she must have missed the company memo. Hats On Or Hats Off

“Woman who love to play with fantasy are naturally disposed to a hat,” explains Alison Waters, a hat-wearer who lives in Melbourne, Australia. “A hat makes you feel marvelous and lifts your mood instantly. It’s an accessory that completes everything, not just the face.” In fact, Alison never leaves the house without one of her 160 hats atop her head. This Sunday is Easter (if you celebrate), and the only day that might be more associated with hats might be the Kentucky Derby. While wearing a hat is no longer a requirement in society — the only time I wear a hat is when I go to a baseball game or when it’s chilly outside — designers are still putting hats on the runway, season after season. #1- As The Frisky reported earlier, Victoria posed with nothing on but a smirk and some high heels for a Marc Jacobs’ skin cancer awareness campaign. The soccer dad was seen wearing her new chari-T shirt when he landed in Brazil on Tuesday.
#2- David wears his heart on his sleeve. It’s tits for a tat as he just had his nudie cutie inked into his forearm next to a Hindu inscription of her name.
But they’re truly equals and Posh had her own plans for reciprocity, besides however she’s voo-doing him in the sack. The British bombshell has gotten yet another tattoo for her man right by her right hand. Guess now we know how they stay in touch when they’re far apart! [DListed]
