Chris Klein’s “Mamma Mia!” Audition Fail

I’ve long considered Chris Klein to be one of the biggest asshats in Hollywood, whose talent peaked with his role in “American Pie” and has been in a steady freefall to “who the f**k is he?” territory ever since. This leaked video, of Klein auditioning for a role in “Mamma Mia!” (the movie), confirms all of my previous opinions on him and then some. First of all, Chris Klein endorsing anyone — including Mandy Moore, who has more of a career than he does — is laughable. Second, homie can’t sing. Third, what is with the bug eyes? Meryl Streep, Vanity Fair‘s cover girl for December and the star of “It’s Complicated” with Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, is a “new box-office queen.” VF reports that her 2008 musical, “Mamma Mia!,” grossed $601 million worldwide, 2008′s “The Devil Wears Prada” grossed $324 million, and this year’s “Julie & Julia” has already grossed $121 million.
