Hot on the heels of yesterday’s character poster release, we’ve got ahold of the first trailer for “Maleficent.” Angelina Jolie stars in this new-perspective retelling of Disney’s 1959 take on “Sleeping Beauty” based on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, in which the Mistress of All Evil places a slumbering curse on the beautiful Princess Aurora. We’ve all been waiting with bated breath to see the first images of Angelina Jolie as the Mistress of Evil. Behold the first “Maleficent” poster. We’ll see tomorrow when the first trailer for the film is released. [E!Online]

So we’re pretty excited that his next project looks like it will be the story of “Sleeping Beauty,” from the perspective of Disney’s most villainous villainess, Maleficent. The movie will hopefully fill in all those question marks we had with the original movie. Like jeez, why so pissed off, lady? Or how do you get those crazy arches on your eyebrows? And, as the most sinister Disney villain, why didn’t you think of just killing the prince? [AintItCool] Keep reading »
