I spend a lot of time making sure my skin is properly cared for. I’m a connoisseur of waters, serums, masques, cremes, and oils, so much so that my roommates are forced to tiptoe around our shared bathroom lest they disturb the delicate balance of my menagerie. Do something else that’s environmentally friendly during your shower, besides, uh, peeing in it. Today, beauty company Lush launches a do-gooder initiative with a few new products that can help save the rainforest. More specifically, the goal is to fight against destructive palm oil plantations, which are often responsible for mass deforestation. (Lush has developed a non-palm base for its soaps). Proceeds from the green “Jungle Soap,” which launches today, will help the Rainforest Foundation protect tribal homes, while 100 percent of the retail proceeds from The Charity Pot hand and body lotion will go to Orangutan protection societies (as these animals are endangered in the area).

Employees coming to work at onebestway marketing and design company back in April didn’t spend too much time choosing their outfits – for one special Friday, everyone showed up for work “au natural”. In an effort to boost office morale, the English company participated in Naked Friday, thought up by business psychologist David Taylor. Taylor asked all employees of the company to drop trou for one day to help the office get “up close and personal.” Yeah, because I’d definitely be more at ease in the office with my ta-tas hanging out. In preparation for the big strip down, employees were asked to photocopy a body part and sketch a naked model to calm their worries. Fortunately, the employees’ Full Monty was a success – morale is up and the company has two new clients. Their not-so-casual Friday was filmed and will be shown on Virgin 1 next Thursday. [The Sun]
