Is there anyone, dead or alive, who could even stand to compete with Liv Tyler‘s hair game? The only feasible way I could sit through 166 minutes of “The Hobbit” would be if at least 150 of those minutes were devoted to Liv’s hair care routine. Wait, is she even in the movie?
Ugh, doesn’t Bebe Buell look just awful for 59? Her “rock ‘n’ roll love child” Liv Tyler must be so embarrassed to take her mom out in public. (I’m being sarcastic, obviously.) So yeah, confirmed: models don’t age. See one more after the jump! [Photo Credit: Jonathan Grassi for PMC] Keep reading »
Amelia and I were just talking about how much better we think Taylor Swift looks with bangs than without. Ever since she took the bangs plunge earlier this year, Swift just looks way more elegant and chic. The bangs really frame her face and make her look more mature.
I’ll probably always have bangs, because I’m too impatient to grow my hair out, and sideswept bangs seem to really frame my face best. And Amelia has had bangs for basically her entire life, ever since her mom gave her an epic bowl cut in 1984. But bangs don’t necessarily work on everyone.
We’ve got several other celebs who got banged up in the past year — sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. Let us know what you think in the comments!
One year before Renee Zellweger became a household name thanks to ”Jerry Maguire,” she starred in the 1995 cult flick ”Empire Records.” To celebrate Renee’s 43rd birthday, we’re taking a look at how the cast of the movie has aged since its release … and what they’ve all been up to in the past 17 years. I’m never surprised to see Liv Tyler out and about looking spectacular, because let’s face it: she always looks amazing. Liv may have won the genetic lottery several times over (who would have ever suspected that scary Steven Tyler could reproduce so beautifully?), but it’s her sartorial choices that reinforce her star status. Seriously, I haven’t seen a movie of hers since the last “Lord of the Rings,” but that’s easy to forget when she’s always seen out and about looking flawless and dressed the part … usually in Givenchy, no less (she’s the face of the legendary French brand). The actress was spotted in Paris earlier today looking true-to-form in all black with a graphic twist, a look that practically begs to be copied. Let’s do it, shall we? (I’ve also included the actual shirt Liv is wearing, in the event that you must have it and you happen to have $455 burning a hole in your pocket. Hey, it could happen!) Siblings — we’ve all got ‘em! Well, most of us at least. I don’t know if you know this, but even celebrities have siblings. In fact, some of our favorite female celebrities happen to have equally cool sisters. They’re not always equal in fame quotient, but that’s okay — they make up for it in other ways.
“I always wear a different smell for every character. My sense of smell has such a keen emotional connection for me. It’s funny, but I can’t wear my own normal perfume when I’m playing a character.”
—Liv Tyler talks to the NY Daily News about the unique technique she uses to get into a character’s skin. She says this helped tremendously with her newest role in “The Ledge,” in which she plays a former addict who marries an evangelical guy, and has an affair with the neighbor he is currently trying to save. But wait—what scent goes with that? [NY Daily News]
After the jump, the great advice Steven Tyler gave Liv the first time they met. Keep reading »
“My dad wears girls’ clothes — it’s so funny. Sometimes I see him and I’m like, ‘Nice shirt!,’ because it’s from my closet… I think he’s really handsome. I feel really proud of him. I think he’s a really amazing, magical man and all those funny things that he says that people find so strange, my whole life I’ve been hearing them and they make me laugh. And I speak his language; I understand what he’s talking about.”
—Liv Tyler talks about her papa Steven Tyler and his penchant for raiding her closet. I plan to make a new drinking game out of watching “American Idol” and guessing the items of clothing that Steven is wearing that are actually Liv’s. [People] Keep reading »
Two years after splitting from Royston Langdon, it appears that Liv Tyler has a new piece of arm candy. An especially sugary one, if you ask me. His name is Theo Wenner and he is rock royalty in his own special way—his dad is Rolling Stone magazine founder Jann Wenner. “They’ve been dating for a while now,” a source tells Life & Style. Which makes sense since they were photographed together at Paris Fashion Week in March, and then again this week strolling in New York.
So what else do we know about Theo? Find out after the jump. Keep reading »
