I’m a girl who loves a good pair of shit-kicking boots, and yes, before you ask, I insist that they bear the name of Doc Marten. All others are mere imitations, no? I take mine black, matte, and mid top because I’m hardcore like that, but you’d be pleasantly surprised by the vast selection the brand offers. They sell their famous ball-busters in every color, texture, and style imaginable. My personal favorites, as far as switching it up goes, are the spotted Italian calf hair (to die for) and the sadly no longer available pastel pairs. I love the idea of floral Docs, but the patterns they’ve used have been too great-grandma’s nylon tablecloth for my personal preference. This is where Liberty of London comes in. The famed fabric house, who has worked on collabs with everyone from Hermes to Kate Moss for Topshop, has joined forces with the staid shoemakers on a collection of shoes that’s bound to be one of the most coveted snags for spring. The shoes hit stores (and, fingers crossed, the website) come the first of May. I definitely need a pair, or two, or all of them (ahem, the ones on the right will be mine), but tell me: would you wear the outcome of this unlikely partnership?

Liberty Of London Does Print-Pretty Swimsuits

Liberty of London must know that Americans are having a full-on love affair with the oh-so-British brand. The designs, which made a big stateside impression this year thanks to a genius Target collaboration and a Mac makeup deal, are now available as swimwear at Neiman Marcus. The selection is small but well-rounded and exactly what you’d expect from the luxe label. Signature prints and festive patterns make their way onto string bikinis, bandeau tops, and even a sexy cut-out one piece. Perhaps even cuter are the summery cover-ups: there’s a lightweight minidress, an oversized button-down shirt, and our favorite, a pink floral caftan with an iconic red, white, and blue floral motif. Only drawback? This bunch of Liberty goods doesn’t come with Target price tags. Maybe they could get on this? Please? [Neiman Marcus] Keep reading »

Liberty Of London, The Makeup Version?

Everyone’s currently obsessing over Target’s Liberty of London collection, so it was awfully clever of MAC to launch their new Give Me Liberty of London makeup collection yesterday (a few days before Target’s March 14th launch–zing!). Inspired by London’s Carnaby Street, “the unstudied, Sienna Miller style of Spitalfields Market to the grit and glamour of Portobello Road,” and “the swinging London girl,” the collection features candy-colored eye shadows, white and cornflower blue Nail Lacquer (the latter of which is sold out already–what gives!?), all manner of spring pink lippies and gorgeous floral makeup bags plus a limited-edition scarf. Should go perfectly with all the gear we’ll rack up at Target. Check out more images from the collection (available here), after the jump. Keep reading »

Sneak Peek: Liberty Of London For Target

When we heard that iconic Brit luxury label Liberty of London was set to bring its prints-mad aesthetic to Target we had to try and keep ourselves from stalking the website in anticipation. Well, imagine the freak-out we had when photos of the fashion and home line started appearing on various websites (OMFG, there’s a bike!). Major giddiness, people. Could these pretty florals be any more perfect? (As if I needed one more reason to wish for springtime weather.) Check out a few product shots and a link to the promo video, after the jump … Keep reading »

Liberty Of London To Team Up With Target

Now you might not have to travel all the way to London to get your hands on Liberty’s iconic and awesome floral prints. The British department store is now collaborating with Target to produce a line for spring. Due out in March, Elle UK reports that the theme is “flower power.” (Yay! Just what we want!) The collection is apparently slated to be massive with not only fashion, but home goods as well. We’re hoping there will be some bright silk scarves or punchy sundresses in there.
