Style Stealer: Leelee Sobieski’s Greyscale Layers

Leelee Sobieski has been in so many great films and one particularly outstanding TV miniseries adapted from one of my favorite books ever (ahem, “Les Liaisons dangereuses”). It’s crazy to think that the NYC native is only 29. Leelee took some time off from the industry the past few years after getting married and having her first child, but with a few new credits under her belt and a few artful public appearances (looking flawless, might I add), we’ve got our cards stacked in favor of the actress’s big-screen comeback. While she showed her support for good friend Raf Simons at the Christian Dior show, we fell in love with her chic basics. “It’s a strange thing that before you marry that it’s a custom to give a girl a rock. When you’re married, you should get the rock, and when you get engaged, you should get a simple band. It just seems like the engagement is weaker, so it should be the band, and when you get to the wedding, that’s the rock. It should be the reverse with the rings. People break up their engagements all the time, and then the guy loses the rock. It’s not fair to the man. The woman should stick it through to the end to get the rock. Of course, the real prize is the love.”

Last night Leelee Sobieski (who is, like, Helen Hunt Jr.) attended the premiere of her new TV show “NYC 22″ at the The Paley Center For Medi. In it, Sobieski plays a rookie cop and Iraq war veteran battling it out on the streets of New York. But here, she looks all statuesque and stuff, in this gorgeous cream and navy gown with scalloped pattern and unique tie-dye effect. Love it. What do you think?
