Lea Michele Shares How’s She Handling Cory Monteith’s Death

“I never thought I would be in this position in my whole life. Now that I am in this position, you can choose to rise, and that’s what I’m going to try to do. I know that Cory would want nothing more than for me to take this situation and use it to help people. … It’s very hard. And you have to be very strong to come out of this alive, but I think by doing the best for myself, by showing that you don’t have to lose yourself, maybe someone else will feel some sort of strength or comfort.”

And someone who has lost a loved one to drug addiction, and has loved others who’ve struggled with it, I really, really appreciate what Lea Michele has to say about moving forward with her life following boyfriend Cory Monteith’s death. I don’t think anyone would blame Lea if she found herself weighed down by heartbreak and guilt, but that she chooses to have a more positive outlook, to take care of herself and to live the best life she can not just in Cory’s memory, but because it’s what anyone deserves, is inspiring. Goodbye To Cory Monteith: Watch Lea Michele's Beautiful And Teary Rendition Of "Make You Feel My Love"
Watch Lea Michele's Emotional Performance

Last night’s episode of “Glee” dealt with the death of cast member Cory Monteith and his character, Finn, but interestingly, did not address how the actor/character passed. ”I care more about how he lived,” said Kurt at the top of the episode. Above, watch Monteith’s real-life girlfriend, Lea Michele, sing Bob Dylan’s “Let You Feel My Love,” with tears running down her face. I had chills the entire time. Just beautiful and heartbreaking. You can watch the rest of the performances here.

Dianna Agron Shunned From “Glee” Tribute To Cory Monteith

  • Oh, damn: was Dianna Agron excluded from the “Glee” tribute to Cory Monteith because creator Ryan Murphy and Monteith’s girlfriend Lea Michele “intensely dislike” her? Sources told Radar Online that Agron wasn’t invited to appear in the episode, despite her character’s closeness to Finn Hudson, because the others “did not want her sharing the glory for this very special episode.” Talk about high school drama.
