First Look: Lauren Conrad’s New Style Book
While some writers struggle for years to publish just one book, Lauren Conrad’s already proudly penned not one, not two, but four. The first three, titled L.A Candy, Sweet Little Lies, and Sugar and Spice are a thinly veiled novels about her life in L.A., but the fourth focuses on what Lauren seems to know best: fashion. Aptly named Lauren Conrad Style, the book plans to divulge tips on how to dress just like LC, including tips like getting clothes tailored to fit your body. While you wait for her scintillating advice, here’s a first look at the cover of her latest creation, which you’ll find on shelves come October. While it’s sparse, with a simple white background, her deep gaze looks intense. “The Hills” Stars Say No Way Adam DiVello Groped Heidi Montag
Just as Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, and Felicity Huffman issued a joint statement saying that “Desperate Housewives” producer Marc Cherry had never been anything but professional to them and has only fostered a positive working environment, the cast of “The Hills” has found themselves in a similar situation. On Tuesday, Life & Style reported that Heidi Montag was planning to sue the creator of “The Hills,” Adam DiVello, over an incident that took place at a photo shoot last month. A source told the magazine, “Adam came up to her from behind and grabbed her with one hand on her stomach and one hand directly on her butt cheek. Heidi had six bodyguards with her. They took his hand off her and moved him away from the situation. …Heidi started bringing security to the set because she felt Adam was getting a little creepy. He was very touchy-feely and she insisted he wouldn’t stop asking her to strip down to a bikini for scenes. Adam wasn’t on set much for six seasons until Heidi got her new boobs. And now he shows up everywhere.”
MTV says they have conducted an investigation over the incident and that “the allegations made against Adam DiVello are completely false and without merit.” Keep reading »
Is There Such A Thing As “Dressy Shorts”?
Lauren Conrad showed up to a book signing for her second novel, Sweet Little Lies, wearing a pair of dressy shorts. Lauren’s totally on-trend according to what has been going down the runways of designers like Phillip Lim, and nicer-looking shorts are even in Alexa Chung’s line for Madewell, coming out this fall. This week I went to a Mark makeup event in Soho and saw two important things (among others): this new PSA on preventing violence against women and Mark’s spokesperson, Lauren Conrad, in the flesh. (Regarding the latter, she is one of those celebs who’s even cuter in real life!) The presentation also introduced a new m.powerment by Mark launch, a pretty Have A Heart bracelet — available here for $12.
