Sure, in a perfect world, our favorite fragrance would be all our own. It would be an exclusive scent that smells like no other, and when we left a room, people would say, “Oh, it still smells like her,” and sigh wistfully. (For that matter, no one would have the same H&M dresses either, hate that.) Sadly, that privilege isn’t exactly realistic when you consider that L’Artisan Parfumeur is selling that very exclusivity to the tune of $10,000. For that low, low price, you can purchase one of eight new couture fragrances that comes with a “certificate of authentication,” and twelve bottles of various sizes. You may also opt to purchase another bottle for $450 at some point during your lifetime, and can will the certificate, or “ownership,” of the scent to your heirs. Personally, if I was rich and decided to blow 10 grand on some perfume, I would kind of want some say in choosing what it smelled like.
