Well, it’s official. Madonna’s longtime publicist, Liz Rosenberg, confirmed in an email to the Associated Press that the mega-star and her director husband, Guy Ritchie, are splitting up after rumors of marital strife for years. Rumor has it that Madonna and Alex Rodriguez are indeed romantically involved, but we’re kind of wondering who Ritchie will date now that his eight year marriage is kaput. The pair are aiming to have the divorce finalized by Christmas—who should Ritchie set his sights on for 2009? We have a few ideas….

Kylie Minogue, who just turned the big 4-0 last week, has made women want to wear more spandex, sing at the top of their lungs, and dance like there’s no tomorrow. She’s beaten breast cancer and has also proved that Billboard hits aren’t the only charts she’s been affecting. Since openly talking about her battle with breast cancer in 2005, the Australian medical establishment is crediting her with a 33% spike in mammograms for women between the ages of 25 and 44. (If only gay men could get their moobs screened, you know the numbers would have skyrocketed!) [CBC News]

Say what you want about her recent red carpet outfits, but frankly, with a body like that, no one is looking at the dress. Since the Aussie actress turned dance floor diva in the late 80’s, she has survived grunge, perms, and breast cancer. And both her music and her good looks keep getting hotter! Infact, we’re starting to get suspicious that she’s one of those sexy robots that guy on the Colbert Report was talking about.  Her highly anticipated new album, simply called X, is set for release February 12.  Check out the video for one of her singles, which is entitled with the same onomatopoeia we’d use for her: Wow!
