I think it’s safe to say I don’t have a future in politics, and if the climate stays the same — where anything and everything from your past can and will be used against you or the person you love — then any future spouse of mine doesn’t either. For the last three years, I’ve shared a lot on the internet as the editor of The Frisky, as well as on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Given what’s happened to political candidates like Krystal Ball (whose funny but racy Facebook pics were unearthed by her rival in a Virginia congressional campaign) and Delaware senatorial candidate Christine O’Donnell (whose fairly chaste sleepover with a guy three years ago was described in an anonymously penned expose on Gawker.com), people who would be out to smear me wouldn’t know where to begin with what I’ve willingly put on the web. Krystal Ball: Enough With The Sexy Photos, Let’s Get Back To Business

Krystal Ball, the Virginia Congressional candidate whose sexy photos were posted by a right-wing smear blog attempting to discredit her campaign, never intended to steal the 24-hour news cycle away from Christine “I Am Not A Witch” O’Donnell. But 28-year-old Ball has no desire to feed tabloid fodder. She spent a week giving media interviews and even released a brilliant statement on how she would not let dirty politics humiliate her. But this morning, Ball announced she is back to focusing on her campaign. In a statement released the morning, provided to us by Krystal Ball For Congress, she said:

“I felt it was important to speak out on this issue and I have done so. I believe that I was treated fairly by the media and able to answer to the voters of Virginia. Now they deserve a discussion regarding issues such as reforming government, getting people back to work and improving our education system. I feel deeply blessed to be interviewing for the job of Congresswoman in front of the citizen’s of the first district of Virginia. I will not be granting any additional interviews on this issue for the remainder of the campaign.”

Meet Krystal Ball, The VA Candidate Whose Phallus-Sucking Photos Have Hit The Internet

This election season just got dirty: Krystal Ball, 29, a Congressional candidate in Virginia, has seen embarrassing private photos taken at a Christmas party dug up by a right-wing blog and posted on the internet. In the saucy pics, Ball wears a Santa hat and thigh-high stockings and is leading her then-husband, who was wearing reindeer ears and a red dildo on his nose, around by a leash. In a couple of the pics, a giggling Ball has her mouth on the big red peen. Scandal!
