In proof that there is life after a big ol’ sex scandal, for the past few weeks, rumors have been swirling that a certain former New York governor with a taste for expensive call girls (that’s you, Eliot Spitzer) will be returning to politics and running for New York comptroller in 2010. But now, one of his frenemies says that if he runs, she’ll run, too. Kristin Davis is the madam who provided Spitzer with (advice columnist?) Ashley Dupre and other high-end prostitutes for years, to the tune of about $80,000. But when he got caught by wiretap arranging a liaison, Davis felt Spitzer was quick to tell the authorities her name. And she’s still pissed about it, after spending four months in Rikers. “I like to wreak a little havoc here and there. It’s ludicrous that Spitzer would even consider running for public office again, and even more ludicrous that New Yorkers would vote for him. But if he’s going to run, then so will I,” she said on her website. “His abuse of some of the women I arranged for him to spend time with raises serious questions about his character … [My platform] highlights the inequities and sexism in our criminal justice system which penalizes women, minorities and poor people while wealthy, connected white men like Eliot Spitzer evade justice.” Who do you think would win in the showdown—Spitzer or Davis? Did Anyone Even Know About Kristin Davis’ Fashion Line?

So apparently Kristin Davis — yes, Charlotte from “Sex and the City” — has a fashion line. And even though she seems pretty busy shooting “SATC 2″ here in NYC, evidently she is planning to show The Kristin Davis Collection, rife as it is with polyester, bright enamel bracelets and imitation patent leather, during New York Fashion Week. Aside from the fact that Charlotte wasn’t even a particularly stylish character on “SATC,” there is also that fact that Kristin herself basically brings to mind a blank fashion slate. It’s only been a few months since the “Sex and the City” movie premiered, but we’re just about ready for a run-in with our four best friends. So we’re really stoked that the movie is available on DVD and Blu-ray TODAY! As you know, the clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories were all fabulous in the movie, but what’s so great about SATC is that it always gives us a little clarity about our real lives, even if the dialogue is a tad cheesy. Put on your favorite Louboutins or Manolos or some other killer, knock-off FMPs and watch 2008′s best/worst chick flick. We were a little surprised when we heard that Kristin Davis had decided to get into the fashion business, putting her name on a line of clothes for department store chain Belk. What would her line look like? Would there be pearls? Now we know the answer: No pearls; however, there are plenty of ladylike styles, and lots of bows. While we think $108 is a little expensive for a polyester shift dress, the Kristin Davis Collection might satiate your appetite for celebrity-branded clothes, especially if you missed out on picking up the best pieces from Rachel Bilson’s Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans. If not, Eva Mendes’ line of bedding, Vida, is coming to Macy’s any time now. We’re gonna take a wild guess that her sex life is pretty enviable, and here’s to hoping that a set of her sheets will emit some of her sexual energy into our bedroom. Keep reading »
