She’s finally free! According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian’s divorce is settled – meaning she’s no longer hitched to Kris Humphries and can move on with her life after a year-and-a-half-long battle. (Isn’t it weird that their divorce lasted, like, seven-and-a-half times as long as their marriage?)
Sources connected to Kris say an announcement is expected in court today, though no details of the settlement have been released.
Kim will supposedly be present to hear the good news, although Kris is reportedly practicing with his NBA teammates and won’t make an appearance. Wait a minute — this sounds familiar. Read more on The Stir…
Shocker: Some of the stuff you saw on Kim Kardashian’s reality show may not have actually been true to life. Case in point: Court documents obtained by Life & Style reveal that when Kris Humphries proposed to Kim, she made him do it all over again so they could re-shoot the scene; seems she didn’t like her reaction in the first “take.” The documents also include an admission from a producer that other “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” scenes, including at least two that depicted Humphries in a bad light, were either scripted, re-shot, or edited. Oh, and Kim uses a “tear stick” to get herself to cry. Read more…
Poor Kim Kardashian. Everywhere she goes, she’s peppered with questions about still being married to Kris Humphries while pregnant with boyfriend Kanye West’s baby. On last night’s “Late Show with David Letterman,” Dave held nothing back as he pressed Kim on why she isn’t divorced from Kris yet. She explained that the hold up is because Kris is pushing for an annulment, claiming fraud and that she only married him for publicity. Sister Kourtney had the last word on that, quipping, ”I think if she was going to do it for publicity, she’s pick someone that people knew.” Sick burn. Letterman also decided having Kim on the show was the perfect opportunity to revisit Kanye’s infamous “Imma let you finish” upstaging of Taylor Swift at the MTV VMAs, which Kim says is just a reflection of Kanye’s “passion.” Two clips above!
It’s all starting to come together now. Why Kim Kardashian needed to get rid of Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage. On the latest episode of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” he seemed awfully concerned with Jonathan Cheban’s (Kim’s PR guy) sexual orientation. Like, suspiciously so. Could someone be questioning? Does someone have a secret candle stash? Equally charming is the part where we are forced to watch him chew with his mouth open while spewing his ignorance. Lovely. [Buzzfeed]
Okay, not really. But maybe some day! Watch this video clip from Kris Humphries‘ appearance on “Good Morning America.” The reporter practically broke a bone in his attempt to steer the conversation back to Kim K. every five seconds. Kris — obviously coached beforehand — managed to deflect all of his attempts marvellously, only going as far as to say, “Certain things happen in life and you gotta move forward.” Good for you, Kris. It’s not as though I care about you or your career in the least, but it’ll be a holiday miracle if the divorce hubbub dies down, and I appreciate your effort! [DListed]
Imagine, for a moment, you are Kim Kardashian’s PR team. The past few weeks of your life have not been easy; your client has been publicly derided for having an excessively fancy wedding during the middle of a recession and even more derided for divorcing just 72 days later. To make matters worse, her mom is going on any talk show that will have her and saying stuff like Kim didn’t “make a dime” off her wedding. Even people who are Kardashian fans are wrinkling their noses at the stink.
So what would you do if you were Kim K’s poor, beleaguered PR team? Why, you’d make Kris Humphries the villian, posthaste. Enter Us Weekly‘s cover article calling Kris the “HUSBAND FROM HELL” and claiming he “belittled [Kim] in front of people” and called her “stupid” and “fat.” Keep reading »
