I’m not usually into brooches, but this felt kitten brooch is a totally different story. First of all, it’s so adorable I make involuntary squeaking noises whenever I look at it. Second of all, it’s soft felt, so you can pet it when you’re sad. And finally, it’s totally versatile: I can’t think of one piece of clothing that wouldn’t be vastly improved with the addition of a kitten. [$10, MOMA Store]
I happen to think kuh-razy Karl Lagerfeld is the tops, most especially in a mankini, but for those who don’t find his mercurial behavior quite as charming, here’s something that’s basically impossible not to get all mushy about: this morning, Karl (or his publicist) tweeted this photo of his adorable kitten, Choupette, playing on an iPad. Predictably, it is to die for. [Fashionista]

In 1915, Harry Whittier Frees published a book called The Little Folks of Animal Land. In it, Frees dressed up kittens and puppies in a bunch of human scenarios and created comical scenes. Because people have generally always loved laughing at animals in people clothes — long before ICanHazCheeseburger figured it out. Click through for a bunch of cute photos of pups and kitties from ye olde times.
These are some sleepy and adorable kittens, aren’t they? Makes you just want to get in the middle of this cuddle puddle. [Buzzfeed]
These adorable little fluffernutters are a little bit cranky this morning. They’ve just been woken up by their owner, and would probably prefer to get another 12 hours of nap time in. These little British Shorthair kittens just wanna sleep, dammit, but since they’re up, would you mind getting them a bowl or three of milk? [The FW]
Just a cat with a better beret collection than you or me. Really loving the vaguely-cross-eyed look of contempt captured in the picture on the right. I feel you, buddy, I feel you. [Farpitzs]
