Kirsten Dunst On Her Break From Hollywood

“It’s funny because I filmed this movie two years ago, so it seems like longer of a break to everyone else. So I did take a break, but for me it wasn’t as much. I’ve been working so long and I’m at a place now where I can wait for the projects I really feel passionate about. … I think it’s nice to take breaks, I always like when I don’t see actors all the time. … I did a short film and went to art school for a bit. It was a course where we started with charcoal, moved to acrylic—all about getting the base and form of bodies.

Kirsten Dunst explains why we haven’t seen her dimpled face in a movie since “How To Lose Friends And Alienate People” in 2008. Her new one, “All Good Things,” opens in early December. Amelia saw it already — you know, ’cause of the whole Ryan Gosling aspect — and says it’s fantastic. [NY Post] Keep reading »

Ryan Gosling And Kirsten Dunst In Bed

Yeah, so it’s for a movie poster—but still, both Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst look mighty pretty in this pic. “All Good Things” opens in December and tells the based-on-a-true-story tale of real estate heir Robert Durst, whose wife disappeared in the mid ’80s. Can we purchase tickets now? Amelia is already in line. [NY Post] Keep reading »

Put On Your Seatbelts Because Kirsten Dunst Is Turning Japanese

Remember when Kirsten Dunst was running around Japan, looking all wacky anime? Well, if you had told me, “Oh, she’s making a total insane cover of that ‘Turning Japanese’ song directed by McG,” I would not have believed you. Even if you swore it was true. Yet, that appears to be what we have here. It’s called “‘Akihabara Majokko Princess.” Obviously. In order to spare you any trauma brought on by an overdose of manga or exposure to anime quasi-nudity featured in said video, we’ve embedded it after the jump. Watch it. I dare you not to get the song stuck in your head forever. Oh, and if you don’t know what “turning Japanese” means, ask your mom. Keep reading »

What’s Kirsten Dunst’s Hair Secret?

Turns out Kirsten Dunst is also a fan of Moroccan Oil, one of our must-have beauty products. Except, apparently, she’s into the cream version. They make a cream? Little did we know that there’s a whole range of products—shampoos, hair masks, and styling aids, made from the magical ingredient of argan oil, which adds shine and restores health to your locks. For the moment, we think we’ll be sticking to the traditional oil formula, seeing as we’re experiencing some winter dryness here, but come spring, we’ll take a cue from Dunst for a lighter cream. We’ve got to admit that Kirsten Dunst looks completely eye-catching (in a cuh-razy kind of way) all dolled up in her Manga finest. Is it a look she should wear every day? Probably not. Are we totally down to try it out? Yes, we are. How to dress like human anime after the jump. Keep reading »

Emile Hirsch Does Hamlet, Plus Other Teen Takes On The Bard

“Twilight” director Catherine Hardwick has a new angst-ridden project in the works: a remake of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.” Emile Hirsch is the tasty choice picked to play the passionate Prince. We can’t wait to see him strut and fret in ye old tight pants. While we’d happily watch the grass grow if irresistible Emile were lying in it, it’s a total bonus that this just happens to be one of our favorite sub genres—a twisted teen take on a Shakesperean classic. Since there’s nothing like a hunk who wants to school us in the ways of love, here are other modern blockbusters that have helped us avoid actually reading Shakespeare.
