“Twilight” director Catherine Hardwick has a new angst-ridden project in the works: a remake of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.” Emile Hirsch is the tasty choice picked to play the passionate Prince. We can’t wait to see him strut and fret in ye old tight pants. While we’d happily watch the grass grow if irresistible Emile were lying in it, it’s a total bonus that this just happens to be one of our favorite sub genres—a twisted teen take on a Shakesperean classic. Since there’s nothing like a hunk who wants to school us in the ways of love, here are other modern blockbusters that have helped us avoid actually reading Shakespeare.

New York Fashion Week ended on Friday after seven days of sometimes amazing—and sometimes hideous—clothes, a gazillion models, gallons of makeup, and a fleet of shiny black Town Cars filled with pretty young things. In case you were under a rock last week, here’s how it all went down…

In the boy buffet that is Hollywood, Kirsten Dunst has been helping herself to a whole lot of sloppy seconds.  She must have picked up some skills in Interview With A Vampire, because Kirsten likes to feast on the blood bath of a freshly killed relationship. It all began back in 2007 when she swooped in on The O.C.’s Adam Brody just a month after he’d broken up with his girlfriend of three years, Rachel Bilson. But she really has it out for Drew Barrymore’s exes!  Less than two weeks after Drew split with Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, her man of nearly five years, Dunst was already riding him like a show pony all around Hollywood.  Drew, the lady that she is, moved on and found love (albeit brief) with the Mac guy, Justin Long. This week, a little over a month after the couple called it quits, Long was having lunch with Dunst!  There should be at least be a waiting period for how soon you can publicly date after your ex-girlfriend has taken you on Oprah. But Kirsten, she’s a straight up vulture ready to pounce on any meat that’s suddenly back on the market. Sure, Kirsten can blame her behavior on a bad break up with Jake Gyllenhaal back in 2005—just like she did her stint in rehab—but really, pull yourself together woman! Do you really need to lay all the rebounds in tinsel town?

Normally Kirsten Dunst gets on my last nerve, but I am loving this outfit. Softing shorty-short-shorts with a Paul Bunyon-esque plaid shirt and low wedges is a smooth move. There are three version of her look after the jump, for every size bank account, but you can also add additional accessorites, like a white tote bag and the latest copy of Rolling Stone with Barack Obama on the cover. Oh, and a lemonade.
