Kimora Lee Simmons is one busy lady. She has three kids—including a one-year-old—and a new husband, actor Djimon Hounsou. She’s broken from Baby Phat and now is launching her own fashion empire—including two labels (KLS and Kouture by Kimora), a perfume, and a skincare line. Not to mention that the fourth season of her show “Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane” is currently airing Sunday nights on The Style Network.
After the jump, Kimora talks to The Frisky about what beauty products she’d need on a stranded island and what it was like finding love again after getting divorced. Keep reading »
Kimora Lee Simmons has made it seem like her departure from her line, Baby Phat, is amicable, but gossips are blabbing to Page Six that Miss Thang was “unceremoniously dumped” for bad behavior. “Kimora was going over-budget. She’d pay herself a fee to be in the ads, plus she paid her children fees to appear in ads,” a source claims. But that’s not all! “It costs thousands of dollars to airbrush her because she’s a size 10. Plus, they spent a ton of money on body doubles. They would shoot another model in the clothes, and take Kimora’s head and put in on her body.” Wait, so they used body doubles and airbrushed her? That doesn’t make sense. Get your story straight! Also, not that I’m disagreeing Kimora is a hellion, but isn’t “she’s a size 10″ the most cliché way to dis/fat-shame a notoriously vain and self-absorbed ex-model? [New York Post] Keep reading »

A little more than a year after his birth, Kimora has decided to part ways with Phat Fashions and Baby Phat, the brand she helped grow into a mega urban fashion force over the last 14 years. She and Baby Phat’s parent company, Kellwood Company, will part ways effective September 1. Keep reading »

Back when former supermodel Paulina Porizkova was ousted from her position as judge on “America’s Next Top Model,” we gave you our dream replacement list that included Naomi Campbell, Agyness Deyn, and Kate Moss. Never did we imagine that Kimora Lee Simmons would return to the show as a permanent judge after leaving the first season. And I was all ready to report that my favorite supermodel-turned-mogul was going to out-fierce Tyra Banks on her own show, but, sadly, the CW is denying this report. Something needs to happen, though, to save this sinking ship, which had its worst ratings during Cycle 13. Find out the other bizarre rumor after the jump. Keep reading »
