Voice Of Elmo Sued Over Meth-Fueled Sex Parties

The original ‘voice of Elmo’ accuser, Sheldon Stephens, has now officially sued Kevin Clash, alleging the former Sesame Street puppeteer lured him into a sexual relationship when he was underage. Stephens, who originally recanted his claims of sex abuse only to recant his recant amid reports that Clash had paid him off, says Clash had Stephens chauffeured to his New York apartment for sex starting when Stephens was 16. While there, Stephens says, Clash smoked crystal meth and the chauffeur masturbated while he watched the pair have sex. Read more …

Accuser No. 4 Emerges In ‘Elmo’ Sex Scandal

The “Elmo” sex scandal shows no signs of going away: Kevin Clash, the former puppeteer of the popular ”Sesame Street” character, has been hit with yet another lawsuit alleging he had sexual relations with a minor. Accuser No. 4, so far not identified, claims he met Clash when he was 16 or 17 and Clash was in his 30s, back in 1995 or 1996. Read more…

Third Man Accuses Elmo Puppeteer Of Teen Sex

Yet another accuser has stepped forward alleging former Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash had sex with him when the accuser was underage. John Doe, accuser No. 3, says he was 16 in 2000 when he met Clash on a gay chat line and ended up at the older man’s apartment engaging in “some sexual activity.” Doe is now filing a lawsuit, and is represented by the same attorney who represents accuser No. 2, Cecil Singleton. He’s also writing a book about the experience, The New York Daily News reports. Read more…

The 2012 election made it look like Big Bird was losing his job … but Elmo is the one headed for unemployment. Puppeteer Kevin Clash, who voices the furry red friend of all children, has resigned from “Sesame Street” over an ensuing scandal that he may have had sex with multiple underage boys.  In a statement released today, Sesame Workshop said:

Sesame Workshop’s mission is to harness the educational power of media to help all children the world over reach their highest potential. Kevin Clash has helped us achieve that mission for 28 years, and none of us, especially Kevin, want anything to divert our attention from our focus on serving as a leading educational organization. Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding Kevin’s personal life has become a distraction that none of us want, and he has concluded that he can no longer be effective in his job and has resigned from Sesame Street. Noooo! I just watched the documentary “Being Elmo” last month and was obsessed with what an inspiring person Kevin Clash, the man behind “Sesame’s Street”‘s most adorable Muppet, seemed to be. Consider my faith in life dashed if this story turns out to be true.

A young man, now 23 years old, has come forward saying that he had a seven-year relationship with Clash, starting at the age of 16. While Clash admits to the relationship, he denies that it was of a sexual nature until the boy was of age. Keep reading »
