Britney’s Mailbox

Britney just can’t get any peace. Justin mocked her at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony (“The world is full of Madonna wannabes. I might have even dated a couple.”), K-Fed wants her to pay nearly $1 million in legal fees, and some sicko keeps sending her sex toys in the mail. For the last six weeks, Britney has been receiving packages with sex toys and crazy letters describing the correspondent’s fantasies involving Brit. On a sort of positive note, though, she is supposed to make a guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother this season. Cross your fingers that she doesn’t forget her lines, that someone watches the show, and that Britney’s career finally climbs out of the Dumpster. [Times of India]

Female Celeb Proposes, Marriage Fails

This week everyone is talking about leap year day and women proposing. The March 10th issue of Us Weekly discusses female celebrities who proposed to their men — though they didn’t necessarily wait for a leap year to do it. Halle Berry proposed to David Justice in 1992. Worst. Husband. Ever.

Well, maybe not, but Kevin Federline is probably close. Not that we think Britney is without responsibility for her current situation, or that we always take US Weekly‘s word as gospel, but the damning testimony in the current issue of the gossip rag has us wishing Britney’s ex some serious harm. According to an ex-assistant that the magazine interviewed, K-Fed basically married Britney for her money, pushed her into divorcing him, and then went after the kids in hopes of increasing the value of his alimony checks. Should have considered those family planning options before popping out those two meal tickets for the trashiest guy in town, Brit! K-Fed is like Rebecca De Mornay in The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, only he’s got a bigger wife-beater collection and a “talent” for rapping. Oh, and he’s not a murderer. [Yeeeah!] Keep reading »
