Love it or hate it, “Titanic” is definitely back, and this time in 3-D. The stars of the film turned out to support the premiere in London this week, and it’s incredible to see that Kate Winslet seems to hardly have aged at all. What has changed — the media landscape around her. One in which a slew of strange reality stars with rainbow-tinged hair are now permitted to show up to the premieres of hit films and traipse the red carpet. Cate Blanchett, Kate Walsh & Kate Winslet Form The Anti-Plastic Surgery League

Cate Blanchett has revealed in a new interview that she is against two things when it comes to beauty—using one’s own urine as a cleanser and getting Botox or plastic surgery.

“There’s been a decade or so of people doing intervention with their face and their body. Now that we’re emerging from that people are seeing that long term it’s not so great,” Blanchett tells Fashionista.com. “I’m not sitting on a soapbox telling women what they should and shouldn’t do, but I know what works for me. I’d just be too frightened about what it means long term. If you have all that stuff done, in the end … you just see the work. It doesn’t fill me with admiration, it fills me with pity.”

Just call him The Amazing Hot Ginge. Prince Harry is being labeled a “hero” today after he went to police following a friend’s mugging. See, Harry was on the phone, gabbin’ about girls with a pal (okay, I made that up), when the friend on the line was suddenly mugged. His Royal Ginger reportedly raced across the city to help his friend in need and when he couldn’t find him, Harry walked his princely butt over to the local police station, where he gave a witness statement. As a result of that and, you know, police work, a suspect was aprehended. [CBS News]

“I would really find it hard being as famous as I was so immediately when ‘Titanic’ came out. If that was happening today, I really don’t know how I would cope because there’s so much media exposure and so much scrutiny. I mean, there was [media exposure] back then, but now it’s just a little out of control. So I do feel there’s this responsibility in myself to speak steadfast and true, at least be something that a younger generation can look up to and go, ‘Oh she’s alright,’ and, ‘She hasn’t injected her face with anything,’ and ‘She’s got a normal figure.’ It’s important.”

It’s been 14 years since “Titanic” came out, and I’m not sure about you, but I’ve spent most of that time quietly sobbing, practicing the chorus of “My Heart Will Go On,” and asking anyone with a pencil to draw me like one of their French girls. Looks like our hearts will go on: Paramount just released the official poster for “Titanic: 3D,” which will hit theaters April 6th, 2012 (the 100-year anniversary of the actual Titanic’s voyage). This gives us five months to emotionally prepare — better start now! [via The Hitlist]

I don’t know about you, but I find celebrity wax figures slightly creepy. The shiny skin, the vacant eyes, the stiff poses … a little unnerving. With the exception of Kate Winslet’s likeness, which was unveiled this week at Madame Tussauds in London. Her wax self looks practically perfect in every way in her 2011 Emmy look, just like her real self did.  She joins the ranks of celebs to get waxed and put on display at museums around the world for fans to gawk at. Is there any reason not to love Kate Winslet? She’s gorgeous, clever, and charming, not to mention one of the most compelling actresses in movies today. Kate also saved Richard Branson’s mother from a fire, making her a veritable saint. Fans of the British actress will also know that she has been the face of Lancôme for quite some time now. Over the summer, the French beauty brand announced plans to team up with Winslet in creating a makeup line that would serve to raise money and awareness for Kate’s charity, the Golden Hat Foundation, whose mission is to help children with autism in communicating more effectively. Kate and Lancôme have created a beautiful collection that goes hand in hand with a beautiful cause. The name of the line is, appropriately, Golden Hat, and it features a blush palette, a red lipstick, and a red nail lacquer. The blush, otherwise a pale pink, features the foundation’s emblem (a golden hat!). These offerings look lovely and I really enjoy Kate’s personal touches on the packaging. At least 150,000 euros (about $207,000) of the sale profits will be donated to the charity. [FashionIndie]
