Awww. Kate Moss is getting married to her boyfriend, Jamie Hince of The Kills. The word no the street is that he proposed Tuesday night while the two were in bed, and surprised her with a 1920s vintage engagement ring. They celebrated with a romantic dinner the next night. The wedding is set for July 2nd, and Kate’s eight-year-old daughter will be a bridesmaid. Cute!
After the jump, some fitting gifts for this pair. Keep reading »
Don’t get it twisted. This isn’t two random girls making out in a bar. It’s supermodel Kate Moss kissing transsexual model-of-the-moment Lea T. on the cover of Love magazine. The issue’s theme is androgyny, a look the Brazilian born-male-turned-androgyne Lea T. has come to symbolize in various recent trend pieces. The shot was taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. This is hardcore, indeed. [Jezebel] Keep reading »
Well, this is rather lovely. Kate Moss
starred in Balmain’s fall/winter ad campaign. Now, the brand has coupled up with Nowness to create an animated video version. In it, Moss fidgets and flops on a sofa while her hair changes color and a series of cartoon creatures accost her. A black snake slithers around her neck and plays with her cigarette smoke. A creepy hand tackles her face. What appears initially to be a fun illustration by the end suggests the girl prostrate before us is possibly haunted by darker forces not readily seen. We like. Today’s music news seems to be all sorts of backwards. First off, we told you in November that Kim Kardashian was recording an album with The-Dream. And now we hear that she is making a video directed by Hype Williams. The mega famous video director spent hours on a closed set with Kim, and her bud Kanye West showed up to co-star. Seem like that should be the other way around, no? [TMZ]
Also surprising, Kate Moss is making an album too! Keep reading »
As our beauty team made the rounds backstage during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2010, we noticed a bevy of models sporting disheveled and, dare we say, messy strands as they prepared to march the runway.
It was hair that looked undone, in a perfectly done way. After consulting with a few lead hairstylists, we discovered the not-so-surprising motive behind the madness: Kate Moss. Over twenty five years in the limelight, and Moss is still a muse. Read more … Keep reading »
Sad news: You won’t be able to get your Kate Moss-designed sequined maxi dresses and slouchy vests anymore because the she’ll be ending her business relationship with Topshop. This comes as a bit of a surprise seeing that the last Topshop/Moss-related news had to do with the model making and selling jam at Topshop, which might be completely random (or just a weird rumor), but definitely didn’t indicate any ending of a relationship. Although Moss has reportedly earned some $5.2 million from her personal style-influenced designs for the retailer, she apparently has more on her plate this year and can’t give enough time to designing the collections.
Here’s where things get interesting, however: Following Moss’s departure, Topshop’s owner, Sir Philip Green, has enlisted his 19-year-old daughter, Chloe, to design her own line for the store …

Kate Moss has worn a lot of hats in her life already—model, designer, horrible singer, writer (ha!). And now … she wants to make jam? Random! That’s the word floating around the rumor mill now—that Moss adores plums and has a jam recipe that she wants to mass produce. According to Hint magazine, the British supermodel has even gone so far as to ask “Topshop’s Sir Philip Green to get her prime product placement on store shelves.” Keep reading »
Kate Moss will appear on the cover of the U.K. edition of Vogue for its September issue. (Again.) She must be getting bored of this. [Catwalk Queen] Keep reading »
Kate Moss, perhaps the most over-exposed yet somehow mysterious model of our time, is venturing into the realm of reality TV. Moss won’t be hosting her own show — the gods are not that kind — but she will be making a guest appearance on Great British Hairdresser, a show slated to be hosted by her friend, hair stylist James Brown. Though perhaps not the world’s most original concept, the celebrity guests stopping in should make it far and away cooler than most of the American hairdresser search incarnations. If Moss wasn’t enough to convince you to tune in, Gwyneth Paltrow and Liv Tyler will also make appearances. [Press Association]
