Don’t be fooled by the sheet. Kate Hudson was nine months preggers when she posed for this spread in the September issue of Elle magazine. And as she rolled around, showcasing assorted baubles and jewels, she definitely had impending motherhood on her brain. “[My mom, Goldie Hawn] never hands out unsolicited preachy words of wisdom,” said Kate. “My parents allowed my brother and I to have our freedom and be ourselves and feel confident in our choices and to make mistakes without too much judgment. Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy have finally decided on a name for their newborn son — Bingham Hawn Bellamy! “Bing” for short, naturally. I’m suddenly nostalgic for the days when we thought it was strange that Gwyneth Paltrow named her daughter after a piece of fruit. I suppose Bing isn’t as strange a name as, say, “Pilot Inspektor” (that’s the name of Jason Lee’s kid), and there are famous Bings in the world, like Bing Crosby. I love that his middle name is in honor of his Grandma Goldie. Bingham … Bing Hawn Bellamy … I’m warming up to it. Thank god. Victoria Beckham And Kate Hudson Both Gave Birth This Weekend

The celebrity stork had a pretty darn busy weekend. Two highly anticipated famous babes arrived within hours of each other—Victoria and David Beckham gave birth to a baby girl, while Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy had a baby boy. While we don’t know much about Kate and Matt’s baby, besides the fact that he is healthy, Posh and Becks were willing to divulge a little more information. Their babe was born early Sunday morning and the two said they were “over the moon” to finally have a girl, after three boys. They also announced their baby’s name—Harper Seven Beckham—leading many to speculate whether they named their wee one after Harper Lee of To Kill A Mockingbird fame or after the magazine Harper’s Bazaar.

Regardless, I think Victoria, David, Kate, and Matthew should take the simultaneous arrival of their little bundles of joy as a sign. Keep reading »

Marie Claire Devotes Six Paragraphs To Discussing Kate Hudson And Ginnifer Goodwin’s Weight

Of all the lady mags, I tend to find the stories in Marie Claire to be the most informative, well-written, and thought-provoking. Celebrity interviews, of course, are a bit of a crapshoot; for every Lady Gaga (who will give amazing, ridiculous quote after amazing, ridiculous quote) there’s a Katie Holmes (who repeats canned answers that were clearly rehearsed over and over with a publicist in advance). Then there are all the celebrities who give interviews somewhere in the middle, sometimes interesting, sometimes not so much, often due to the types of questions posed by the interviewer. (Ask a celeb a boring question, you’ll probably get a boring answer.) For that reason, i wasn’t expecting much when I sat down to read the Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin cover story in the June issue of Marie Claire.

But I certainly didn’t expect six paragraphs devoted to discussing the stars’ weight. Keep reading »

Last night, a super pregnant Kate Hudson sat down with David Letterman to talk about her new movie “Something Borrowed,” her new engagement to Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy, and the fact that she’ll be giving birth for the second time in just a few weeks. “I don’t feel prepared. I can’t believe how fast it’s gone,” she said. “I might be one of those who is sitting in the hospital, staring, going ‘I don’t know what to name my child!’”

Another famous Kate has a wedding coming up: Kate Hudson is engaged! Kate announced this morning on “The Today Show” that she’s engaged to Matt Bellamy of Muse, by whom she is currently pregnant (and mush-brained). “Yes, I’m engaged,” Kate told Matt Lauer while promoting her new romantic comedy, “Something Borrowed.” “It just happened a week ago, I’m so glad you noticed. I haven’t really announced it and I felt like the announcing thing feels so silly, and I was just waiting for someone to notice.” Well, that’s one way to do it. Us common folk take out an announcement in the newspaper when we have an engagement, but I guess if you’re a celebrity, it’s easier to just announce it on a morning talk show. James Franco And Kate Hudson To Do A Linda Lovelace Biopic? That Sounds Familiar.

“Armageddon” and “Deep Impact.” “Capote” and “Infamous.” It’s a time honored Hollywood tradition for two movies to come out months apart about same exact topic. And it looks like it’s about to happen again. Late yesterday, Deadline.com reported that James Franco and Kate Hudson are in talks for a biopic about Linda Lovelace and her husband, Chuck Traynor, who Lovelace later said coerced her into porn. The movie will be based on the book The Complete Linda Lovelace and will be made by the dudes behind “Howl.” [Huffington Post]

The word on the street this morning is that Kate Hudson is pregnant with Matthew Bellamy of Muse’s baby. “It was not planned, but they are excited and embracing it,” a source told Us Weekly. “She is happy for Ryder to finally have a brother or sister.” Who knows if this is true, but if so, congrats to Kate and Matthew.
