“Today I encountered the 19th girl to add to the list of people Jesse cheated on me with during this last year. I kept going back and forth in my mind as to what the best way would be for me to release and let go of any residual feelings remaining from that toxic relationship. All of this may sound petty or immature to some, but I assure you this is coming from a place of pure honesty and love.
There was a time when I was confident and excited at proving the world wrong, because I believed so deeply in people’s ability to change for the better. Although this was not a primary purpose in the relationship, I did feel like it would be a positive thing for those who judged Jesse solely based on what they read in tabloids, to see that change is always possible – even in the people who seem hopeless. I still believe that, even if that change never occurs inside of him — because I see proof of change everyday — in others, and in myself.”
– Kat Von D explains in a long post on her Facebook page — titled “Thank you, Jesse James” — that ex-fiance Jesse James cheated on her with 19 different women (at least!) during their fairly short relationship. She goes on to say, “I think it just made me sad today to imagine him still in that dark place — where seeking validation through the attention of women takes precedence over being a good father, a sincere friend, a better coworker, and a happy individual.” Personally, I really, really, really hope she’s the last woman to take Jesse James seriously as a partner/man ever again. The dude is grotesque. [Facebook]
“I’ve been passionate about music all my life. I’ve been playing classical piano since I was six. So I understand the form, but it will be fun to be able to translate a message. It’ll be more on the dark, more tragically romantic [side] … I think it’s much like tattooing or the TV show or makeup, my clothing line, fashion. All those things, they’re just different outlets to be able to be creative. So music, I think it’s going to be one of those things.”
—Kat Von D tells E! News that, in the wake of the cancellation of “LA Ink,” she will be recording an album. Apparently last month, she sang “November Rain” during Fashion Week? This could either be a trainwreck in progress, or total genius. [NY Daily News]
Long before Lady Gaga horrified us with Joe Calderone and Kat Von D made us gag by falling for Jesse James, the two apparently met. Kat gave Gaga a tattoo in 2008 and the whole thing was captured on camera. In this video, Gaga says that she is a singer but moreso a “songwriter for other people,” before bragging that the night before, she worked with New Kids on the Block. And she says that she got her first tattoo at age 17, using a fake ID. But wait—Kat is giving her the tattoo in a driveway so she can do the same design on Gaga’s car? I don’t quite get it. [EW]

“Sometimes you are only given one chance in life. It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance. I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her.”
—Jesse James tells People that he and Kat Von D have made up and are engaged once again. Phew, I was worried there for a few weeks. This reunion wouldn’t have anything to do with her show being cancelled by TLC yesterday, would it? [People] Keep reading »
Talk about poorly timed. On a new clip from the upcoming season of “LA Ink,” Kat Von D has a special surprise for her fiance, Jesse James. It’s a tattoo for him. And no, it’s not his initials or even his name. It’s a big old portrait. Of his fifth grade yearbook photo. “You’re crazy!” he exclaims. (Which, yes, she is.) “I love it — I love you.” Of course, the couple is now dunzo—Kat tweeted on Monday that they have broken up. Which had TMZ wondering—is she now regretting that tattoo?
But Kat swears she isn’t. Keep reading »
“We have something special that I’ve never felt with anyone I’ve ever been with. She loves me like no woman ever has, 100 percent. Man, she has my back… She fell in love with me when I was being called Satan. If that’s not a testament to what kind of a person she is and where her intentions are, I think nothing is.”
—Jesse James has been a busy bee this week, sitting down for interviews with People and Howard Stern to talk about his engagement to tattoo artist Kat Von D. In this quote he gave to People, I can’t help but notice that he uses almost exactly the same words that Sandra Bullock chose to describe him in the 2010 Barbara Walters Oscar Special: “I’d never before met a man who I felt had my back.” As for what Jesse said to Stern? Apparently, Kat is “100 percent” better in the sack than Sandra. So classy, Jesse. [People, NY Daily News] Keep reading »
