Here's Some Video Of Robert Pattinson & Katy Perry Singing "All Make Love To You" In 2008
But Where's Kristen?

Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry have long denied ever dating, but this recently uploaded YouTube video from 2008 lends credence to the rumor that Rob’s sparkly vampire peen has made Katy roar. Watch in grainy, fuzzy detail as Rob and Katy sing Boyz II Men’s “I’ll Make Love To You.” At one point, Katy even sits on Rob’s lap OMG. Prepare yourself, Twihards and California Gurls. [YouTube]

Will & Monifa Sims Somehow Made “The Tonight Show” Cry-Funny

will and monifa sims on tonight show
"Guess what buddy, you came to the right gas pump."

I’m sitting at my desk cry-laughing this morning thanks to, of all things, “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.” I haven’t watched the show in a zillion years, but I guess he does something called PumpCast News, where fake newscaster Tim Stack is streamed right into a gas station television monitor, so he can directly interact (read: fuck with) gas station customers.

But there is no way he could have ever imagined how wonderful and entertaining Will and Monifa Sims would be. The two show off their impressive karaoke skills and were brought onto “The Tonight Show” to sing with the show’s band. (Clip after the jump!)

So everybody’s talking about “Girls” and Lena Dunham’s amazing Golden Globes’ win and blah blah blah, voice of a generation. But we want to talk about something else: Lena Dunham’s karaoke choices. Last week, New York magazine interviewed the cast of “Girls” about their favorite karaoke jams. (and karaoke played a major role on last night’s second season debut). Their real-life choices were far from inspiring:

Allison Williams — “It’s a long one, but it’s ‘Faithfully,’ by Journey. It builds, and by the end, everybody’s asleep, so they need a pick-me-up … A lot of the pop songs today are so challenging, I wouldn’t even endeavor to do them.”

Lena Dunham –“I only did karaoke once, and I did ‘Who Will Save Your Soul?’ by Jewel, which is a tough song … it’s hard. Hannah’s would be something off of Jagged Little Pill, by Alanis Morissette. I love her, Hannah loves her. Or Taylor Swift, if you wanted to go modern.”

Jemima Kirke — “I like to sing a little Loretta Lynn. ‘Rose Garden.’ I just sing it good. It’s the only song I can say that I know I can do.”

While we abide by Loretta Lynn, what’s up with Journey? Really? Come on Allison Williams. It sounds like the “Girls” girls could use a little advice from our friend and karaoke columnist Lindsey Weber. I know first hand that Weber is a karaoke aficionado, skilled with a microphone — and with critical song choices. Keep reading »

Seriously, you have GOT to hear this.

When someone dares to karaoke a Whitney Houston song, the end result usually falls somewhere between “tragic” and “ear-splitting.” So when this random girl stepped up to the karaoke microphone in the electronics department of a Singapore grocery store and cued up “I Will Always Love You,” nobody paid much attention. But when she started singing? Well, hit play to see for yourself (skip to 3:20 for that famous “And IIIIIIIIII” moment). Now someone get this girl a record deal and a show in a venue that doesn’t have a toilet paper aisle! [YouTube]

What’s Your Karaoke Song?

According to some research done by the karaoke website Lucky Voice, Adele is 2011′s karaoke queen.  Her track “Someone Like You” accounted for 14 percent of all karaoke sung. And if people weren’t belting that one, 25 percent of them were singing some other Adele ditty. And not as well as she does, I presume. But that’s the fun of karaoke. The worse your pitch, the better. I have never ventured into Adele karaoke territory. Maybe next time, I’ll add “Rolling In The Deep” to my roster. I think I could kill it. After the jump, the Frisky staffers’ preferred karaoke song lists. Because everyone has a go-to karaoke song(s). What’s yours? [Daily Mail UK] Keep reading »

Two things we absolutely love: Joseph Gordon-Levitt and old-school Axl Rose. So imagine how much we loved Joseph Gordon-Levitt singing Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” in the style of Axl Rose Tuesday night on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.” “This guy does the best Axl Rose,” Jimmy said before challenging Joseph to sing a random song as the lead singer of Guns n’ Roses. Of course, Jimmy kicked things off by performing “Pumped Up Kicks” as David Bowie, and the two finished with a duet of Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory.” [Washington Post]

Evening Quickies: Jim Carrey Is A Creep

  • Jim Carrey performed a surprise karaoke tune at a New York City music club this weekend. You absolutely must watch his (slightly off-key) rendition of Radiohead’s “Creep.” Add him to the list of celebs who’ve been caught karaoking. [Gossip Cop]

Evan Rachel Wood Kills A Justin Bieber Tune At A Karaoke Bar

Have you ever given into the urge to karaoke and then really regretted it afterward? Not Evan Rachel Wood. She was a karaoke superstar at a bar in Beijing recently and you’ll never guess what song she picked. She sang—no, killed (in a good way)—Justin Bieber‘s “U Smile.” Keep reading »

Jason Segel And John Krasinski Karaoke, Dance With Blow-Up Doll

I’m not so into the idea of bachelorette parties. But if I were ever to have one, I would want Jason Segel and John Krasinski to crash it, like they did for a random woman in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Here they are, sloppily karaoking “With a Little Help From My Friends” at the bachelorette’s request. Apparently, they also indulged the crowd with a rendition of “Brown Eyed Girl” while dancing with a blow-up sex doll. Who knew these two was so into the ‘yoke? [The Daily What, TMZ] Keep reading »
