When you look at as many paparazzi photos as I do, looking for new, interesting shots to post, you start to notice trends. Amy Winehouse always wore ballet flats, for example. Paris Hilton always poses like she has to pee. And, as I realized this morning, Kanye West is always whispering to girlfriend Kim Kardashian. What’s so secretive that he often blocks his mouth with his hand, so paparazzi can’t read his lips? I decided to imagine the possibilities….
As far as models go, Anja Rubik boasts a pretty decent level of notoriety. She flashed one seriously barbed hipbone at the Met Ball, then managed to redeem herself, crazy eyes and all, in Cannes. Oh, there was also that time Kanye West name-dropped her in a song (the same one he used as a vehicle to confess his love for Kim Kardashian, no less), but we don’t talk about that. Anja has the credentials for sure, but does she really have the fashion chops necessary to back it up? It would seem so: I love this simple pleated chiffon gown, and paired with the flat thong sandals and fresh, natural hair and makeup, she looks practically beach-ready. For an incredibly glamorous beach, that is.

I have one serious, serious conundrum, though, and that is pant-boots. Are these pant-boots, like you had on the other day? Is it pants, tucked into open-toed boots? Why do open-toed boots exist? Where are you getting all of these pant-boots? Is there a store for that? Is it DW Kanye West? Is Kanye enabling this? Worse still, is he encouraging it? Is a line of pant-boots your next business venture? … Hey, don’t get any ideas. Pant-boots are not, and never will be, a thing. I hope. But then again, I also said the same thing about you. While I find “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” to be something of a boil upon the ass of pop culture, I generally co-sign on what Kim K. chooses to wear. But it seems like maybe her latest romantical kollaboration with Kanye West may have a negative impact on her fashion choices. Witness: This horrid ensemble, which Kim wore out and about in Paris. It’s hard to decide what’s the worst thing about it — whether it’s the pants, or the blousy, weird, asymmetrical turtleneck top. And oh, God, the pants are pant-boots. The whole thing is just a fail. UPDATED: God, the internet is such a tricky trickster! So, TMZ says that this isn’t Kim Kardashian. It’s a porn star named Amia Miley. And that the rumor that Kanye had tweeted this photo, and that it was Kim, was all part of “Wankster Wednesday” where goofballs try to get bogus rumors started.
