When we first heard about Olsenboye, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s teen line for JCPenney, we were interested to see if we’d be hitting up juniors section for the first time since 10th grade. (Although, we weren’t holding our breath.) The first look at Olsenboye isn’t quite attractive enough to us and doesn’t really bring the sophisticated Olsen style we’d hope for. That said, the wares are, for the most part, fun and, most importantly, age-appropriate, which we can’t quite say about some other celeb lines. (Ahem, we’re looking at you, Beyonce and Avril.)

Some of the looks are full-on misses (peace-sign graffiti shirts—is that what the kids are into these days?), but a lot of the collection kind of reminds us of what the Olsens wore in their movie “New York Minute,” which they filmed when they were 18.
