Diane Kruger Shares The Story Of Her Horrific First Date With Joshua Jackson On "Conan"
Even Celebs Have Shitty First Dates!

As far as Perfect Celebrity Couples go, fashion fave Diane Kruger (whose life we are, for myriad reasons, totally jealous of) and former “Dawson’s Creek” star Joshua Jackson are up there. They’re both gorgeous, seem endearingly down-to-earth, and most of all, although her career is on the up and up and his seems to have taken a bit of a backseat, Joshua is always at Diane’s side on every red carpet looking more than happy to be there with his lady. That’s love. But it wasn’t always — Diane appeared on Conan recently and regaled the disastrous story of her and Joshua’s first date, which by her account she was “conned” into. The recount is right up with the most cringeworthy of dating tales … and here they are, together seven years later. Isn’t it funny how life works sometimes? [via Crushable]

The Good, The Bad & The WTF: The Emmy Nominations

Melissa McCarthy and Joshua Jackson woke up very early this morning to announce this year’s Emmy nominations. Unfortunately, they didn’t get to show off their personalities much—the proceedings were austere, as usual, with just a smattering of laughs and giggles, and the whole thing was over in six minutes flat. After the jump, the good, bad, and WTF of the nominations. Keep reading »

Joel McHale Trains Melissa McCarthy For Tomorrow’s Emmy Nominations Special

Tomorrow morning at exactly 5:35 a.m., Melissa McCarthy of “Bridesmaids” will join Pacey Witter Joshua Jackson of “Fringe” to announce this year’s Emmy nominees. Nervous about the gig, Melissa consulted last year’s host, the hilarious Joel McHale, for advice. And thus, this hilarious training video was born. I cracked up when Joel rubbed a puppy on Melissa’s face and told her to “feel nothing.” How cute. Though maybe not cute enough for me to set my alarm to 5:30 a.m. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

Diane Kruger Doesn’t Believe In Marriage

“I was married very young [to French actor and director Guillaume Canet]. We were together seven years. Without sounding pessimistic, I learned that I don’t believe in marriage. I believe in a commitment that you make in your heart. There’s no paper that will make you stay. A guy friend of mine said, and it made a lot of sense, that people should get married at the end of the road, not the beginning.”

Diane Kruger (who’s currently involved with Joshua Jackson) on having been married before and her lack of interest in getting married again in the March issue of Glamour. This kind of sums up my current feelings on marriage. I wasn’t married before, but I was engaged, and while I was committed to the idea of getting married to him, it was really just “formalizing” the relationship I believe we already had. Anyway, maybe I will end up getting married someday, but I wouldn’t say marriage is something I believe in. What do you think? [Glamour via Huffington Post] Keep reading »
