Ugh, my Fantasy Dream Boyfriend Joseph Gordon-Levitt is looking like a total tool these days. That’s because, I guess, he’s filming a new movie called “Don Jon’s Addiction.” In it, he plays a dude addicted to porn who falls in love with Scarlett Johannson so it makes sense that he’s overly tanned and bulked up, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino-style. As such, we’re probably going to skip it and watch “Brick” again.
As you know, Joseph Gordon-Levitt will always be My Ultimate Fantasy Famous Dude Boyfriend. But that doesn’t mean that I’m exactly stoked with some of his movie choices lately. First, there’s his forthcoming movie “Premium Rush,” in which he stars a bike messenger on the run — it looks totally crap. And now comes word that he’s going to be involved in a remake of the 1986 classic film “Little Shop of Horrors.” The original, starring Steve Martin and Rick Moranis, is kind of unbeatable, so the idea that JGL thinks he’s got the chops to produce and possibly star in a remake sounds a little arrogant to me. Like, stop being so great, guy. It’s too much. I can’t keep up. If my fantasy that we will one day end up together is going to come true, he’s going to have to get just a little bit more mediocre. Well isn’t this adorkable? Oh crap, I just remembered we hate that word. Fine. Let me start over. Isn’t this lovely? Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, back together again, this time covering Nancy Wilson’s “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” Julie would absolutely hate me for saying this, but luckily she is on a plane to Mexico right now, so here it goes: I really kind of wish Zooey and JGL would give romance a shot in real life. Lindsey’s been battling cancer for the past year, and after seeing JGL’s latest film “50/50″ — where he plays a young dude with cancer–she was inspired to get in touch. “After seeing Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s performance and seeing/reading some of his subsequent interviews about the film I thought, ‘This guy gets it. And he’s cute.
