Tuesday night was Jesse James’ big “Nightline” interview. We were all waiting to find out what he had to say for himself after the heinous Sandra Bullock betrayal. So what was his million dollar excuse? He says he cheated because he was abused as a child. “[My persona] is a smoke screen so people won’t see that I’m a scared, abused kid,” he said. “I grew up with a huge amount of shame and fear and abandonment on my shoulders from a very young age and I think, you know, the way my mind rationalized [cheating], ‘Well, you know, I might as well do whatever I can to like run her off cause she is going to find out what I am anyway and leave me anyway.’” I personally felt sad for him that he waited so long to deal with his issues and they, in turn, ruined his life. Sandra will be fine. He seems like much more of a victim to me. All that being said, I still don’t think what he did was justified. So what did you think? Satisfying explanation or total BS?
It’s always a little hard to know what to think when a famous guy explains the psychology of why he cheated. After all, is there really any excuse? After the jump, let’s play a little game. Match the cheater with the rationalization they gave. Keep reading »
was on “Nightline” last night and finally offered up a few answers for why he cheated on wife Sandra Bullock
, whether he’s a big ol’ racist, and if he went to rehab for sex addiction
. For starters, James says he was abused as a child and that much of his persona is a smoke screen to hide the fact that he’s a scared abused kid, whose dad broke his arm when he was 7 years old. Child abuse, he says, also contributed to his infidelity, telling ABC:
“I grew up with a huge amount of shame and fear and abandonment on my shoulders from a very young age and I think, you know, the way my mind rationalized [cheating], ‘Well, you know, I might as well do whatever I can to like run her off cause she is going to find out what I am anyway and leave me anyway … The struggle within myself for the things that I did … to damage marriage and my life and everything else, it’s all me. I’m doing it because, you know, I’ve basically never felt good enough for anyone.”

‘ highly anticipated “Nightline” interview airs tomorrow night on ABC, but this morning on “Good Morning America” they showed this new teaser clip, in which James says he understands what motivated his multiple affairs. Sandra Bullock
‘s soon-to-be-ex-husband says he was trying to “self-sabotage” his picture-perfect life, though he doesn’t give any indication what sob story brought that on. He also says that while he was cheating on the Oscar winner with such awesome folks as Michelle McGee
and Skittles Valentine, he knew it was wrong. “During the midst of all it, when I was doing it, one, I knew it was horrible, it made me feel horrible and two I knew I would get caught eventually and I think I wanted to get caught.” Wanted to get caught, huh? I don’t know that I buy that. Will you be watching James’ full interview tomorrow night? Keep reading »
Lordy, lordy. Doesn’t this fool have a publicist who could have talked him out of this? “Nightline” has posted a clip of Sandra Bullock‘s soon-to-be-ex, Jesse James, admitting, “I took a pretty amazing life and marriage and threw it away.” And then he cries and walks off camera (natch). No hints yet if any of our 10 predictions of what will happen come true.
Watch more neo-Nazi-loving foolery on Tuesday morning on “Good Morning America” and the full interview on “Nightline” on Tuesday night. The Frisky is toying with the idea of a liveblog, seeing as this is a matter of great import. [Nightline] Keep reading »
Proving that some stars just can’t help but embarrass themselves again and again and again, Jesse James, who recently cheated on Sandra Bullock with Michelle McGee, is going on ABC’s “Nightline.” The interview will run next Tuesday, May 25 at 11:35 p.m. To be honest, we aren’t exactly Jesse James’ biggest fans. Shocker, I know, but I mean, there isn’t much we like about a guy who takes neo-Nazi photos and cheats on his loving wife. But that didn’t stop us from rounding up 10 things we hope happen during this televised interview. Keep reading »
The first (?) porn movie spoof of the Sandra Bullock and Jesse James sex scandal has been slated for release, and it looks like an Academy Award contender, folks. I don’t know who decided to call it “The Sandra Buttocks & Jesse Janes Scandal,” but that is genius. (Well.) Produced by one Venom Digital, the creators purportedly tried to get Michelle “Bombshell” McGee to appear in this sure-to-be-a-classic, but she passed. The cast includes Tory Lane, Jayden James, and Angelina Valentine. Synopsis: “We know you can’t stop thinking about the Jesse James and Sandra Bullock scandal, but this release from Venom Digital will put a sexy spin on the otherwise mediocre development!” It can be yours for a mere $19.99.
