In case you missed it — what is wrong with you?! — here’s a quick clip of our favorite “Jersey Shore” girl, Snooki, gettin’ her freak on in last night’s episode. Keep reading »

Liveblogging “Jersey Shore”!

There’s only a few hours left for MTV to change its mind and show Snookie getting punched on tonight’s episode — not because that would be entertaining, but because they’ve already showed it in a clip, so showing it in context would be the right thing to do. But I’m not holding my breath. Check back to this post at 10pm EST as I, along with special guest John DeVore, liveblog the latest episode of “Jersey Shore.” Fingers crossed my jumbo jar of pepperoncini came in the mail today. Quickies: Snooki’s Attacker Apologizes & Mike “The Situation” Untanned

Big Shocker: “Jersey Shore” Cast Can’t Identify Joe Biden

Hmph. Well, this is mean. Jay Leno trotted out “Jersey Shore” cast members Mike “The Situation,” DJ Pauly D, and Beloved Snookie on last night’s show and subjected them to an intelligence test! Well, OK, it was for his quiz show “Jaywalking,” only standing still in the studio instead of out on the streets. As you might have expected, the two guidos and one guidette weren’t exactly up on their knowledge of American history and presidential politics. So what was the point? To make fun of them? They shoulda turned the tables on Jay and asked him some questions. Like how to make sausage and peppers. And how many cans of hairspray it takes to make a pouf stand upright in a strong wind. Snookie/Snuggie Joke Fail

We’re not sure what genius thought up this hilarious Snookie-of-”Jersey-Shore“-inspired blanket with “skeeves” pic that’s making the rounds today, but we’re not really laughing. One, making fun of the fact that she was physically assaulted (MTV is no longer airing the scene in this week’s episode) is just kind of nasty, and two, isn’t everyone just plain over Snuggie parodies at this point? It’s more than a little played out. Grade? FAIL. [BuzzFeed] Keep reading »

Quotable: Pauly D Spends More Time Styling His Hair Than You Do

“It takes me twenty-five minutes to get it right. Greatness takes time, and this hair right here is greatness. I have it down to a tee, but this is a process right here.”

Pauly D of MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” whose hair looks like a lacquered, unmoving sculpture. Keep reading »

MTV Pulls The Plug On Violent “Jersey Shore” Scene

This week’s episode of “Jersey Shore” was supposed to be the one where viewers would see Snooki get sucker-punched by a drunken bar-goer, but after a sneak peek of the punch quickly garnered controversy and went viral as a gif, MTV has decided to pull the plug on airing the scene, calling it “disturbing.” Duh, of course it is, and so was the almost celebratory sharing of the gif, which the internet seemed to find hysterical. The network released this statement:

“What happened to Snooki was a crime and obviously extremely disturbing. After hearing from our viewers, further consulting with experts on the issue of violence, and seeing how the video footage has been taken out of context not to show the severity of this act or resulting consequences, MTV has decided not to air Snooki being physically punched in the face.”

Wait, wait. MTV took the video footage out of context to use as super-OMG-exciting teaser footage, is mad that viewers weren’t able to put it in context on their own, and now the network is going to pretend like the fight never happened? MTV needs to show the fight in context and not let what happened to Snooki be reduced to an internet meme, especially if it truly wants to make some sort of statement against violence. MTV suddenly getting skittish and pretending it has morals is a little too late, at this point — the episode should air as it was originally intended, in my opinion. [E! Online] Keep reading »

Who’s The Guy Who Punched Snooki?

Next week’s episode of “Jersey Shore” looks like it’s going to be pretty brutal—while out partying at a Seaside Heights bar, the lovely (??) Snooki takes a right hook to the face that sends her flying off her stool. Apparently, some drunk jerk had taken her drink and had been harassing her roommates, so she confronted him about it. The guy was apparently super intoxicated—bouncers had already told him to watch it—and he let his fist do the talking. So who is this guy who punched Snooki? Apparently his name is Brad Ferro and he’s a 23-year-old … (wait for it) … high school teacher. Keep reading »

Show “Jersey Shore” Pride With The Situation Fashions

Maybe dressing like a guidette isn’t your thing (we’re hoping to God), but you can still show your “Jersey Shore” pride with this line of T-shirts and panties. To recap: one character on the MTV reality show, Mike, cockily refers to himself as “The Situation,” which has something to do with his washboard abs. So when “The Sitch,” as Amelia likes to call him, started working in the local customized tacky T-shirt shop, you knew it would only be a matter of time before his “The Situation”-emblazoned boyshort creation would spawn an entire fashion empire. Well, here you have it. Show your love for Mike by throwing one of these tees over your surgically enhanced breasts (although he’d probably like it better if you weren’t wearing it at all).
