Jennifer Lopez Makes Like Marilyn Monroe On “Lopez Tonight”

Celebrities loooooove Marilyn Monroe. Lindsay Lohan, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aquilera, and Scarlet Johansson all channel her on a regular basis. And last night, Jennifer Lopez became the latest to make like the original blond bombshell when she slinked onto “Lopez Tonight” in a floor-length dress and blond wig to sing “Happy Birthday” to George Lopez, just like Marilyn did for John F. Kennedy on his 45th birthday. Sure, it’s cute when she says, “Calm down, birthday boy. Take a seat and let me do my thing.” But the Marilyn act is just getting so old. Next. Keep reading »

Jennifer Lopez Takes Jay Leno’s Diva Test

Sure, she grew up in the Bronx as down-home “Jenny from the Block,” but now she’s a global celebrity: singer, actress and red-carpet glamour queen. So is Jennifer Lopez a diva? Jay Leno put her to the test on the “Tonight Show.” Watch the video Keep reading »

The Fruit Of J.Lo’s Loins Take A Ride

Jennifer Lopez‘s twins, Max and Emme, get stuffed into a car by their aunt and, I dunno, a nanny? Max is like, “Uh, hell-to-the-no.” And Emme is like, “Whatever, more candy.” And the dude in the background is like, “WHERE’S J.LO???” [4/20/10, NYC] Keep reading »

Jennifer Lopez Wears Good Earrings In A Bad Movie

India Earrings, $68, Judith Bright
Gold Paisley Earrings, $58, Judith Bright

Sometimes trailers do the opposite of what they’re supposed to do, which is get you to go to the movie. After seeing the preview for Jennifer Lopez‘s new movie, “The Back-up Plan,” I definitely won’t be plunking down $15 to see it in theaters. However, I might take the money I save by not watching it and put that toward the purchase of a pair of earrings she wears in the movie. Three different Judith Bright earring styles adorn Jennifer’s ears in “The Back-up Plan,” and while I tend to go for post earrings, these simple danglers would be a fun change, especially since they won’t completely deplete my bank account at $53 to $68 a pair. And, if you do end up seeing the film, send the jewelry company your ticket stub by May 31 for 20 percent off, which will essentially recoup the cost of your movie ticket. J.Lo Goes Feral

No offense, Jennifer Lopez, but I wouldn’t be caught dead watching “The Back-up Plan.” (I don’t think I bought a ticket for “Maid In Manhattan”, either.) However, I could feast my eyes on this catty Monique Lhuillier gown all day. Rawr, and stuff. [Miami, 4/14/10] Keep reading »

Quotable: Jennifer Lopez Says Gays Know How To Party

“It’s the best audience ever. You guys enjoy the music, you get into it, and you’re not afraid to let go and express yourself. That’s what I want from an audience. I recently did a show where the crowd was just standing there, staring at me with their camera phones up, YouTubing me or whatever the heck they do now. I was like, ‘This is crazy! I need vibe!’ I’d so much rather have you guys jumping up and down, waving your arms in the air.”

Jennifer Lopez explains to The Advocate the difference between performing for a predominantly straight audience and a gay one. But I’d like to suggest that the “straight” crowd was only trying to get footage of J.Lo’s most recent fall. [Starpulse] Keep reading »
