The Louvre in Paris is on the most amazing museums in the world, but it can be a total crowded shitshow to visit. Unless, of course, your Beyonce, Jay Z and Blue Ivy, in which case you get to take a private tour and take selfies with the Mona Lisa for as long as you please. When the Carter-Knowles family travels, even when they’re just walking down the street, they do so with a gaggle of bodyguards and entourage-y types who do things like make them look super important and tell onlookers not to film them. When a man was asked by Bey and Jay’s people to stop recording them outside the Louvre in Paris, he got confused (or maybe just felt like trolling) and asked the bodyguard, “Who is he?” Jay’s defensive reply is hilarious and all attitude. NBC’s “Law and Order: SVU” is going to take on Elevatorgate 2014. The show announced that an upcoming episode titled “American Disgrace,” will depict a fictionalized version of the Solange/Jay Z elevator brawl that happened earlier this year at the Met Gala. And if that’s not enough drama, the episode will also include pieces of the Ray Rice elevator scandal and Donald Sterling’s racist comments because WHY NOT STIR THE POT? Check out a clip from the episode after the jump! Keep reading »
Beyonce made a surprise appearance during Jay Z’s set at the Global Citizen Festival in NYC this weekend, and it was glorious. She joined him to sing Justin Timberlake’s vocals in “Holy Grail,” and then added her voice to “Young Forever” (in a totally on-point outfit, I might add). You’d think that being fresh off the heels of their On The Run tour would make these two sick of performing together, but it just never gets old for the rest of us. All rumors aside, I am forever obsessed with these two. They bring out all the feels every damn time. [Rolling Stone]
Go ahead, call me naive, but dammit if I’ll ever believe another rumor about the breakdown of Jayonce’s marriage again after watching HBO’s “On The Run” special on Saturday night. The love between them was palpable! It could not be denied! They flirted, they giggled, they made eyes at each other, they joked around, and they showed the audience and viewers at home a montage of the besssssssst behind-the-scenes moments, including a number of shots of darling Blue Ivy, to close out the show. While the footage won’t be anything new to those of you who were lucky enough to attend the On The Run tour, it’s now been made available to us all, so we can rejoice in the love between Beyonce and her her hype man, I mean, her husband. (Sorry, but as much as I love Jay Z, his solo performances pale in comparison to her dance routines, sets and constant costume changes.) Watch the couple perform “Young Forever”/”Halo” spliced with home movies from their real life, including a pregnancy photoshoot, a pushup contest, and many other tender, loving moments above. I will never doubt you again, Jayonce.
