When The New Yorker tapped funny guy Jason Schwartzman to promote its new iPad application, the magazine probably figured he’d make a few jokes and some silly commentary. But the editors probably didn’t expect they’d get Schwartzman wearing nothing but a jean jacket and a strategically placed iPad. In this hilarious clip, directed by Roman Coppola, Schwartzman shows us a typical humdrum day in his Hollywood star life, sings us a song and goes for a dip in his glorious pool — all with the iPad at his side. Jason Schwartzman Wears Nice Clothes, Crushes On A Mannequin

Since we won’t get to see Jason Schwartzman in his upcoming film “Fantastic Mr. Fox” (due to it being animated and all), we’re very pleased the actor is featured in the look book for Band of Outsiders‘ fall 2009 collection. (The label’s designer, Scott Sternberg, has also used our girl crushes, including Michelle Williams and Marisa Tomei, to show off his women’s collection, Boy by Band of Outsiders.) The distinctive, dreamy look of the Polaroid images make us want to Poladroid all our photos from this summer so our lives will look equally cool. The only thing that would make this better is if Jason were holding our hand, rather than this mannequin’s. Check out two more photos from the look book after the jump.
