Top Eight Music Videos Featuring Sweet Dance Moves

1. Janet Jackson, “If” You may be saying to yourself, “Wait, why not ‘Rhythm Nation’?” Because everyone assumes that “Rhythm Nation” is Janet’s best dance video, but it’s not. “If” is much dirtier. See for yourself.

Top Five Menstrual Songs

I took a lot of women’s studies classes in college and even spelled women as “womyn” for a while, but I’ve never quite understood menstrual art. I have a lil’ soft spot for all the artists on this list, but it was loads of humorous fun pulling the lyrics for our Top Five Menstrual Songs:

5. “Cause my swag is serious/Something heavy like a first-day period.” — Janet Jackson, “Feedback”, Discipline
I’m confused. Janet’s periods are heavy on the first day? That sucks.

The Daily Hotness: Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson released her 10th album, Discipline, on Tuesday, and while it has gotten some not-so-good reviews, Janet has staying power. She released her first record back in 1986, incited many grade-school girls to dance to “Rhythm Nation” or “Escapade” at a talent show, and forced us all get in touch with our sappy, emotional side when she breathed the lyrics to “Again.” Today, she’s back to looking amazing, rockin’ bod and all (we’re not so sure about the super streaky highlights or semi-wavy hair but LOVE her with bangs). Not only that, but Janet doesn’t mind making fun of herself to get a laugh. See her star in an mock episode of My Super Sweet 16 after the jump.

The Boob Tube

It’s been four years since Nipplegate, the backlash from the controversial Super Bowl half-time show that beamed Janet Jackson’s ta-ta across the country. CBS had to flash over a half a million dollars cash for the un-coverage, but now that’s looking cheaper than the vinyl costume that “malfunctioned”. The FCC is at it again and this time it’s attacking ABC for a 5-year old episode of NYPD Blue in which a woman shows her tush and a sliver side view of her boob. This is definitely a case of too little too late as the commission has just filed a complaint calling the scene “titillating.” (Looks like the only thing the FCC finds entertaining is a pun.) They’re seeking a whopping 1.4 million dollars in fines from 50+ ABC affiliates, which they consider to be a bargain since the old rate of $27,500 a station has been raised exponentially post-Nipplegate to $325,000. Hey, someone’s got to pay for the FCC lawyers who are busy preparing to fight for more authority at the Supreme Court later this week. As gratuitous nudity-loving taxpayers, we here at the Frisky would like to argue the merit of T&A on network TV. It’s a free public service. Let’s let the only fine on the show be the naked actors.
